Some things you don't come back from

I don’t disagree. Programs like ours? can and do catch lightning in a bottle every so often - I’m just doubtful UW can sustain it for any amount of time.YellowSnow said:You can always come back with the right AD leadership and the right coach. Has there ever been a program to go 0-12 and finish in the top 4 in a ten year span?

UCF went Owen in 2015 then won a national championship a couple years later
Ohio State went Owen 12 in 2010 (off field losses)
You really have to suck to go Owen on the field. Not many championship types teams have done it

tOSU is already building a fence around Seattle so you know they're on board.Doog_de_Jour said:
This is actually a good idea. Culturally we? fit in better with the BIG10 than Rutgers or fucking Maryland.Doogles said:I've said this jokingly many times before(as well as others here), but dissolve the Pac-12 while there's still any value in the brand.
If I'm UW I'm breaking contract and throwing out serious inquiries to the BiG10/12 -
Pete made us relevant as Pac 12 contenders ( 2 for 6 ) which is something we hadn't been for 15 years. That in itself is a solid achievement considering we haven't had the right AD since Mike Lude and Pete lost the drive to be an elite coach.dnc said:

It's never too late to come back.
It's damn sure easy to believe that we? won't, though.
I'm prepared to fire Jimmy after 2021 but, at least, need to see one normal season under the guy. Talking about getting the AD to put pressure on the HC to fire this or that assistant coach is a waste of time. The Buck stops at Jimmy's desk. -
See. We? are really special. This was a unique achievement.RaceBannon said:UCF went Owen in 2015 then won a national championship a couple years later

I’ve said this, not jokingly. It may be too late to fix the Pac-12. Oregon and Washington should be exploring how to trick the Big Ten into taking them. Not a new idea. I don’t know about complacent Washington, but Oregon is fed up with the Pac-12. USC is just waiting for the chance to go independent. Nobody else cares, or if they do they’re not relevant enough to matter.Doogles said:I've said this jokingly many times before(as well as others here), but dissolve the Pac-12 while there's still any value in the brand.

It’s hard to imagine this conference almost dismantled the Big-12 not that long ago. Texas fucked us all. -
My greatest fear is the dismantling of the P12 and we are left with a Utah, Colorado, Oregon schools, Washington schools, Boise State, BYU conferenceDoogles said:I've said this jokingly many times before(as well as others here), but dissolve the Pac-12 while there's still any value in the brand.

If oregon and utah have a down year you guys might even win it!HuskyJW said:

I understand the great fear that we would be the odd man out in the reshuffling of the power conferences. On the surface this is a realistic fear, but WASHINGTON is still a top 15 revenue producing program in the country and #1 in the Pac-12.HuskyJW said:

That's right, despite stepping on our dicks repeatedly for over a quarter of a century, we still pull in more dough than Sweatshop New Money U and USC.
Seattle is a legitimate media market with plenty of talent to be a desirable addition to any conference.
The longer UW prolongs a power move like this, and the more the ghost of Don James dissipates into montlake, the less clout we have to make it.
