You know who else had the drops his first year? Jerry Rice. Not saying Puka is Jerry. Don’t twist.
-
He looks like he could still be a really solid playmaker for us.
-
Puka looks like he’s 190, but plays like he’s 220
-
He’s 215.LoneStarDawg said:Puka looks like he’s 190, but plays like he’s 220

Puka is a fucking stud. He pisses me off because he already has 4+ drops on the year, but you just have to keep feeding a talent like that.
-
Tie Jones needs to be aggressive and attack the ball. Stop being Lenious 2.0
-
We don’t throw it to Puka enough
-
he got open couple of times, too bad the qb arm is not that good or timing is not better. but ty was open on couple of plays dylan was late on themdannarc said:Tie Jones needs to be aggressive and attack the ball. Stop being Lenious 2.0

It’s not a one game issue. It’s been Ty Jones’ whole career.FireCohen said:

Puka already has a better career than Ty Jones. Jones is a TBS doog legend. I admit I was excited for him when we got to campus but he’s fucking 10 ply, just like Asa.
-
Throw it to Nacua all day. I love Puka. Uh oh, does that make me gay?
-
Bush Hamdan had to fucking babysit Ty during recruiting, even flying to meet him at an airport on a layover evidently.biak1 said:Puka already has a better career than Ty Jones. Jones is a TBS doog legend. I admit I was excited for him when we got to campus but he’s fucking 10 ply, just like Asa.
Ty has been a waste of resources since day one. -
Ty is bleh. I still am going to give Asa a little more time to figure it out.
-
The play by Pleasant on the swing pass where he did hit the "spin" button was really important keeping the final drive alive. Tough catch as well.

With Bynum out I'm real hopeful McMillan and Odunze are going to see a lot more snaps. If that happens I expect them to make some plays, and maybe just maybe Ty Jones won't be the WR getting the most looks after a couple of games.
-
Chin replaced Bynum yesterday. Jones has had some good blocks which keeps him on the field. He’s a bum tho and I hoped somebody steps up and gets him off the field.chuck said:With Bynum out I'm real hopeful McMillan and Odunze are going to see a lot more snaps. Am I a doog for not giving up on spiker? I think he can still be a contributor as he adds strength.RoadDawg55 said:

I think he’s been hurt. If he hasn’t, he’s probably done at UW.AtomicDawg said:

The overlooked thing with Spiker is that he’s slow and while he’s tall, he was also weak.
I always predicted him to be a bust. One of the ones I got right. He flashed last year but he put up huge numbers in high school in the air raid with a really good QB. The 4.88 at Nike Camp always concerned me. -
I was never as high on him as his ranking. I did think showed a knack for finding openings in a defense though. If I remember right was that the year that every time at the combine seemed ridiculously slow? Strength was definitely a problem but he has gotten bigger the last couple of years. My inner doog still has hope.RoadDawg55 said:

I always thought Osborne would be a contributor too but so far I am definitely wrong. -
I definitely thought both would contribute. Surprised neither has and that it’s likely they never will.AtomicDawg said:

Noted that. There could be several simple reasons why that dont mean anything for the next game though. I dont think those guys are in the dog house. There just weren't enough snaps to go around against Utah. You can't go a whole half with short possessions and get reps for unproven, so far unreliable young guys. They'll get back out there though.RoadDawg55 said:

That is a symptom of dooging. I remember doogs believing that Spiker and Osborne would have a transformative effect on the offense as pure freshmen. Looking at the HS film you could see neither were really elite athletes.AtomicDawg said:
