"Center left" doesn't really fit at all. The Nazis promoted central government "collectivist" programs to stimulate the economy and put people to work, but so did basically every other national government, including the USA, that didn't want to completely collapse and lose all legitimacy.

The Nazis were far right in their cultural politics especially the whole racism and anti-semitism thing. They were also very reactionary in terms of gender, sexuality, and in policing public behavior. That is not "center left."

You have to disentangle economic policies from other political factors. The distinctive features of Nazism was its intense right wing politics.

How wrong you are. You are probably referring to the fact that southern whites were almost uniformly Democratic party voters back in the 19th and for much of the 20th century. But that was not a "left wing" party. The old Democrats valued local governance and feared the growth of the federal government and were generally opposed to public works projects, etc.. By contrast the Federalists, Whigs, and later the Republicans valued a stronger central government and generally held more enlightened attitudes toward the rights of human beings, aka stopping slavery.

AKA using a strong federal government (btw, the US military is part of the federal government) to kick the ass of the South.

As soon as LBJ (a Democrat) enforced school desegregation in the South and enforced the Civil Rights and Voting Rights Acts, Southern whites began to switch to the Republican party which was much more conservative about racial issues.

The Nazi leadership called themselves Socialists. I know, I know, its inconvenient for your attempt at historical revisionism.

The left stayed in the democratic party after LBJ and Civil Rights legislation. It wasn't until 30 years later, yes three entire decades, almost one third of a century, that the Republicans won the majority in Georgia, the heart of the South. Hardly a case of democrats rushing to jump ship now was it?

The Germans had a whole lot more similarities to Socialism and Communism than anything "far-right" as you call it. Does anyone even know what "far-right" means? To me it is simply a term the liberals use to scare their weak followers who can't think for themselves. The KKK? Is that what rats call "far-right". I think Robert Byrd and Teddy Kennedy, Al Gores father, Fritz Hollings and a whole bunch of other segregationists and KKK supporters on the left would disagree. None of those racists jumped over to the Republican party. Another inconvenient fact liberals like to ignore and make excuses for. Clinton and his racist mentor? Can anyone imagine what would happen to a Republican candidate for President who had a racist mentor like Clinton and BO did? Racism is alive and well in the rat party. They just want their weak minded followers to believe otherwise.

On the cover of Mein Kampf Hitler refers to his perspective as National Socialism. Another inconvenient fact liberals like to ignore. They try to explain it away because it isn't a liberals definition of socialism. As we know, socialism and communism has killed over 100,000,000 over the last century or so. The left has tried their hardest to adhere those atrocities to the mystical "far-right". I keep looking for that huge organization that is plotting to take over the country and the world and considers themselves "far-right". The problem is, all I see are far left fascists' who are attempting to murder, burn, loot, beat and destroy anything that gets in their political way. But hey, those "far-right" bad guys who seem to be invisible but ready to jump out at any moment, they are the ones to be afraid of.

Fascism is literally the marriage of planned economies and nationalism. It rejects the destruction of nationalism that communism proports. It is "far right" only if your a devout socialist and don't realize there's such a thing as a free economy further to the right.

You can argue that Italian Fascism was "center right" if you like. Nazi Fascism was center left especially as they were able to further "implement" it. Socialized "healthcare" anyone?

If racism and anti-Semitism is a "far right" thing how do you explain the fact that the only place you'll find overt and accepted anti-Semitism and racism today is all on the left? Al Sharpton, Omar, Farrahkan and the members of the CBC that support him aren't on the right, they are out and proud leftist. The left is the only group I know of today that wants to use the power of the government to reward and or punish people based solely on their skin color. How can that be when you claim racism is all on the the right?

Btw, this is an incredible bad read of history and the facts. Wallace, a Rat until his death, captured most of the Southern vote well after LBJ started enforcing the Civil Rights acts. The South started trending toward Republicans with Ike, but the Rats still had a strangle hold on the majority until 1972. Carter recaptured the the South in 1976 and Clinton in 1992 was able to win many Southern states.
