Claiming that Trump inherited a struggling economy and made it boom, which is all that I've heard for 3 days, is yes propaganda.RaceBannon said:

we'll see. a 1 on 1 debate has always been Biden's maybe greatest strength. Yes he isn't what he was 8 years ago obviously but the expectations have also been set at a low level.thechatch said:
If I were someone who was already sure I was voting for Biden, I’d be all for him skipping the debates altogether. Trump is most effective in the campaign stump/debate forum. COVID has taken the former away from him, so why give him the latter? Let him continue to fuck himself with unforced errors on Twitter and watch CNN do my work for me. Undecided voters aren’t watching FOX. They watch the debates and they read the paper in the 4th quarter. There’s no reason to throw the ball here. Release a statement condemning both the police and the violent rioters...then go back into the basement and hide until Nov 3.GrundleStiltzkin said:
@incremetal_progress what you make of Pelosi saying no debates?incremetal_progress said:Taibbi's point about the pandemic direction is spot on.
Those polls have closer margins than in 2016 but Biden is also a lot closer to 50 than Hillary ever was. If he can reach 50 he's good.
Letting the Trump propaganda machine run unabated is not gonna work.
So is claiming that Trump has saved lives with his COVID response, which is just absurd.
It will work if someone is not actually out there disputing this stuff, Harris' speech today was a good start.
Did 2 million die?
And he's right on the economy. Until the democrats crashed it
There is a reason the lead is gone
What did Harris say?
no 2 million did not die, just 180k which will be 250k+ by the end of this year.
There are many measures of growth. Saying Trump improved it isn't propaganda
Had it been good Hillary would have won
This is called a campaign. Since Harris is the front what did she say? -

Lets contrast the dems and Trump shall we? -
The economy thing is the garden variety bullshit that gets claimed every campaign.incremetal_progress said:

Saving lives is bullshit too. However that 2.2 million number was touted as a real thing and big reason why things got shutdown. People believed it. If Trump tries to make people believe he ‘saved’ 2 million, I’d say that’s fair game. -
All you need to know about the economy is that the way that the Democrats are discrediting the economy is by talking about the post COVID impact ... it’s because they can’t talk about the pre-COVID levels
-
Of course Trump is gonna claim what he wants to claim, my point in the first place was that allowing him to continue to set the narrative with his BS won't work.
These were the remarks I was referring to

While Kamala brings very little electorally (I still think Whitmer was a better pick) she's far more effective than Biden at cutting into the Trump narrative. -
As I’ve said before and I’ll say many times over the next few months, give me Maya Rudolph giving Kampala’s talking points

I think people are overreacting. The viewership of the RNC and both conventions were small. And I actually don't think Trump's over the top politicizing the White House and the unmasked crowd is gonna play well.
While I do believe the socialism.attacks on Bernie from Trump would have been strong at least Bernie would be attacking from a position of strength on foreign policy.
Perhaps trump's most reprehensible decision was vetoing Bernie's war powers act bill on Yemen. He continued a genocide selling out to the Saudis and MBS even after khashoggi. Bernie would be attacking Trump on this and on his broken promise to take troops out of Afghanistan.
Instead Joe's foreign policy critique is "he loves dictators" easily allowing Trump to lie and claim the anti-war lane. -

I was actually thinking of voting for Trump this year, but changed my mind when I saw all those people not wearing masks and doing things that appeared to be human.
yes I had to edit this -
