Remember that many Oregon players are part of the strike. I can't see the SEC welcoming any PAC-12 team into this temporary conference with that shit going on. I also can't picture any PAC-12 school voluntarily playing a season that they were able do duck and thus forcing themselves to deal with the strike head-on.

The strike has nothing to do with whether there is football or not

But it won’t stop the ppl in charge to use that as an excuseRaceBannon said:The strike has nothing to do with whether there is football or not

I’m not a PAC 12 basher although we? do lack elite programs, but Oregon wouldn’t even go .500 if they played in the new SEC with Clemson, Ohio State, and Penn State added.1to392831weretaken said:Remember that many Oregon players are part of the strike. Trevor Lawrence broke the strike with one tweet
We want to play -
I was talking to a buddy that was upset about CFB being cancelled. I told him I still think the SEC plays. The ACC looks to be trying too.RaceBannon said:Trevor Lawrence broke the strike with one tweet

I’m sure Ohio State, Nebraska, Penn State, Texas will try to play, but the media rights could make things tricky. -

Do you have something to say? Then say it.

I’ve said it: Your view on this whole topic is delusional.

How so? Am I alone in my view? Why me? Something seems to have upset you

This is all stupid. Just make this happen. Tie in the NFL franchises in some flimsy way to try and draw in those fans. Maybe those times get dibs on that program's undrafted free agents. *Means a program I think would be in debate to not be included. Save an at-large Playoff spot for 1-2 teams from the division below this.
Big 10
West
1. Washington (Seahawks)*
2. Oregon (49ers)*
3. USC (Rams)
4. UCLA (Chargers)
5. Arizona State (Cardinals)* - I know it's a shitty program but it's a huge and growing region which might buy in someday
6. Utah (Broncos)* - same as ASU
7. Texas (Cowboys)
8. Oklahoma (Raiders)
East
1. Nebraska* (Bills)
2. Iowa* (Bengals)
3. Minnesota* (Vikings)
4. Wisconsin (Packers)

SEC
West
1. Texas A&M (Texans)

3. LSU (Saints)
4. Missouri* (Chiefs)
5. Mississippi (Jets)
6. Tennessee (Titans)
7. Alabama (Giants)
8. Auburn (Patriots)

3. Miami (Dolphins)
4. Georgia (Falcons)
5. Clemson (Ravens)

7. Virginia Tech* (Commanders)
8. Notre Dame (Colts)
Programs I think would be in the debate to be included: Oklahoma State, Arkansas, Illinois, Pitt, Boston College, Houston, Mississippi State, South Carolina, Virginia, Maryland
I think Cal, Colorado and Stanford are maybe in discussion simply because of their markets. -
And who is going to coerce the SEC to go along with this plan?WoolleyDoog said:This is all stupid. Just make this happen. Tie in the NFL franchises in some flimsy way to try and draw in those fans. I remember Nebraska talking about rejoining the Big 12 if the Big 10 didn’t play in 2020. (And IIRC they were talking about permanently rejoining the Big 12 rather than just for 2020.) I didn’t realize Ohio State was also talking about playing in another conference.
It’s a shame the Big 10 didn’t cancel the 2020 season. If Nebraska had rejoined the Big 12, then maybe Texas and Oklahoma wouldn’t have left for the SEC since the Big 12 would have re-gained the biggest brand that they had previously lost, allowing the Big 12 to make more money. And if Texas and Oklahoma hadn’t joined the SEC, then it’s almost certain that USC and UCLA wouldn’t have joined the Big 10. -
