Trump has a base. Biden doesn't. Sanders would have been a much larger threat even as a socialist because he has a base too

I remain a #Berniebro and it's very obvious that in 2016 he was a far better choice than Hillary. I'm not as sold he would have been a good choice this year when everyone was just looking for something that they perceived as a unifier and a return to normalcy. Things like the enthusiasm gap would have been the electoral death knell for Biden pre-pandemic/George Floyd/depression, but now pretty much everyone is motivated to vote regardless of where they stand. I'm honestly not sure the dynamics of this election could have possibly played into his favor any better.
Trump has absolutely no one else but himself to blame for that as he was given ample opportunity to appear in control of the pandemic and consolidate majority support just like so many governors have.

If you identify as a fence sitter, you are either lying or a moron - likely both. You either identify as an American or a commie citizen of the world. There isn't a lot of confusion on where the candidates stand. I think there a lot of people like me that didn't vote for Trump in 2016 but are all in on him for this election.
