No Depression - Uncle TupeloRock pretty much goes off a cliff after 1996. So I'm starting to work backwards from 1990 now until these shit poles meet up with the ones from the 70's.

No Depression - Uncle Tupelo1990 had some personal favorites for me, but still, a fairly soft year overall.

I was trying to figure out how to admit I was among those smitten with a certain Queen of Country Pop in 1997 since the rock didn't, uh, impress me much.
(counterpoint: that face/body, tho...)
PS - great job so far Yella; TYFYS -
Shake Your Money Maker - Black Crowes
The 80's is no man's land for rock also.YellowSnow said:Rock pretty much goes off a cliff after 1996. So I'm starting to work backwards from 1990 now until these shit poles meet up with the ones from the 70's.

Hard disagree. There were some very strong years in the 80s.alumni94 said:

And your entire post in general. Very good year; haven't been able to choose yet. -

Ragged Glory - Neil YoungRagged Glory was part of the best stretch of Neil's career. Freedom, Ragged Glory, Harvest Moon then Sleeps with Angels is as good of a stretch of albums as has ever been created. I dont think the other three made the shitty pole so I'll vote for Raghed Glory.

Ritual De Lo Habitual - Jane's Addiction

I saw them live at the Legends Club on Tacoma's Hilltop in January 1990. Just a couple months before Andrew Wood died.dnc said:Wiff a bullet
