Fetters picks USC

I think USC will make the College Football Playoff and Clay Helton will keep his job. I also think Penei Sewell will become the offensive lineman with the highest number of Heisman Trophy votes since Miami's Bryant McKinnie in 2001. — Chris Fetters, Dawgman

That will be an especially hot take when USC loses by 30 week 1 against Bama
-
It’s possible if there’s no non-conference.

USC makes playoff? What a fucking tard.
Helton keeps his job? In these covid times I think it's likely just because making changes will be difficult and money is always an issue with USC since lawsuits etc ...
Penis Swell gets a ton of Heisman votes? Fatters retarded pet squirrel could have predicted that. Jesus. -
30 is being generous. To USC.greenblood said:That will be an especially hot take when USC loses by 30 week 1 against Bama

When I read this, I hoped it meant he was going to start covering USC football. Him and Clay fat fingering keyboards on Call of Duty together would be outstandingMotrboatnsob said:USC wins the conference; an unlikely Heisman contender emerges at Oregon

I was talking to my buddy about the early line. USC is +14.5. Easy pick for Bama. It’s going to be ugly.Swaye said:

Doubt the game is going to happen. Clay will get another year by saving himself the embarrassment of the Sark plunger.greenblood said:That will be an especially hot take when USC loses by 30 week 1 against Bama

I hope you're right. Clay Helton is the cheapest recruiter Oregon and Washington have on their staffs.insinceredawg said:

We made serious money up to this year with Clay, but I fear The Great Man-tits of Eugene has it rolling now and with Lake stepping all over his own dick every day it is easy to see the stellar class Oregon is pulling. I feel like the last few years UW and Oregon pretty much split most of the good WC players and had really similar highly ranked classes to prove it. Now with us a clown show all the spoils are headed your way it appears.greenblood said:

Yeah, we definitely need to pick up JTT, Emeka, and either Bowers or Calvert in to stay somewhat in the same ballpark talent-wise as Oregon. Right now we're about even (based on the last few recruiting classes) but they could start to really pull away from us with this class if we lose out on those guys.Swaye said:

Is this intended to suggest this prediction is laughably obvious, or laughably absurd? Because I'll bet anyone on here Sewell doesn't receive a single Heisman vote, if it's the former.animate said:Penis Swell gets a ton of Heisman votes? Nope, its not a joke. 1st sophomore to win the outland trophy and he is highest rated lineman since 2014. Maybe you should read something not pro-husky.

He won't get as many votes as EmptermanndOgmaster said:Nope, its not a joke. 1st sophomore to win the outland trophy and he is highest rated lineman since 2014. Maybe you should read something not pro-husky.

But honestly, it's viable that Swell would potentially get Heisman consideration and votes
- Oregon hype train in full effect
- Oregon trendy topic with the usual media pundits
- Swell is probably a very high NFL pick barring injury
People here to don't want to acknowledge or admit it but Swell was a huge loss and also ended up being a big negative roadblock for future recruiting efforts. -
Between the uncertainty of there being a season, the vast array of outcomes for Sewell/Oregon/other confounding variables, and the audacity of the prediction (zero OL votes in the past 18 years, only 5 different OL have got a vote in the past 46 years), I feel pretty good with my side of the bet.animate said:

Or, well, feel free to infer that my rhetorical thrust was "PeNiS sWeLl iS tWaSh, BwO!" That's certainly a spicier take, and one that I'll wager on given the right odds. Book me at 30-1 that he gets drafted outside the 1st round, I've got 0.010795 ฿ on that right now. -
If you really think an OT is going to be heisman votes you should check yourself in a physiatric ward for being delusional.dOgmaster said:Nope, its not a joke. 1st sophomore to win the outland trophy and he is highest rated lineman since 2014. Maybe you should read something not pro-husky.

You seem like a good poaster, and I think you are just being pedantic, but this implied comparison of Sewell to Pace is absurd.greenblood said:

You can waste all the money you want. Most draft analysis have him as the #1 overall prospect, but most see him going 3rd overall because he is not a qb. Not playing this year would only make him more likely to hold that spot. I am not even sure why you are making those statements. You evidently are in the same mold as Jimmy, just a shit talker.
If you want to give me 30-1 odds I will pony up a $100. But doubt you could back that up. We can both meet up at the Dutchess to have a 3rd party hold the money. Tell me when. -

Maybe, but you basically said thinking an OT is going to get Heisman votes is crazy. I'm just saying it has already happened. I didn't say Sewell will make it to New York, but I'm arguing that it is possible. Sewell is grading out as the greatest offensive tackle in the last 20 years.Emoterman said:

I actually said I think I have better than even odds that he doesn't, considering there likely won't even be a season on top of it being unlikely that ANY given player will get Heisman votes much less an OT. These other garboons are saying it's a fait accompli that Sewell will get votes, and I think THAT'S absurd.greenblood said:

Any non skill position guy getting Heisman votes all comes down to media narrative, doesn't even really matter how good they play. Sewell has decent enough buzz that he could get votes. But he won't, because there won't be a season.

What is the bet? I said if you want to give me 30-1 odds that he doesn't go in the first round of the 2021 NFL draft, meaning I put up $100 to your $3000, I'll do it right now.dOgmaster said:You can waste all the money you want.
