I mean you're both over generalizing. There *is* a breed of highly ranked kid who wants those things but still gives a damn about academics. One can argue the wisdom of Washington positioning itself as Stanford north but that's certainly what we? have tried to do the past six years. With pretty strong recruiting success the last three years before this dumpster fire. Theoretically it should be an advantage for kids like Egbuka.greenblood said:
If you want to rely on your academics, you might want to stick to the 3 star try hard recruits. 4 and 5 star players want to have fun, be pampered, get exposure, and play in the NFL. Are you telling me Washington is a better fit for this kid, than a college blue blood, that runs an explosive spread offense, gets more exposure, better weather, and better looking women? But...but...but we've got Donovan!!!
I'm not convinced he's coming here but I'm not worried about Oklahoma (and not really because of academis). I think it's tOSU or UW with Clemson as the wild card.
Butt yeah dsd is correct, UW's big edge for Egbuka is Sam (and location/proximity to home). Academis is just a bonus. -
Hi. Those kids go to Stanford.dnc said:

UW has been doing a good job of beating Stanford out for many of them the last few years.Mosster47 said:

Like I said we can argue the wisdom of it but it was certainly successful the last three years.
The question is can Jimmy sustain that? Early results say no. -
Huffman says we’re running in 3rd place right now

WSU did lead yesterday. Things change in recruiting. You’ve been around long enough to know betterbananasnblondes said:

ND makes a living off 4 star kids whose folks like academics (they have to take calculus there and there is only so much academic support can do with that if you're dont study and/or are dumb).greenblood said:

Stanford used to get 4 stars in that line for a decade until their recruiting went down the toilet.
Pete made a living off them too.
Jimmy is the one sticking to upside 3 stars. He does it because he loves workin' with the buddies and doesnt seem to be able to put his foot up their ass to motivate them.

Backie dong to Oklahoma

I get it, we suck until we don’t. Donovan choddles whale cock, etc. BUT you really have to fucking suck if you can’t convince this kid to stay home and let ISHIT pass him into the league.
Even with a dreck O plan, EE would still be a top receiver. I’m going to sound like a lemming here but this yr is pretty fucking important. Yea, I know, so is every other speshul yr.
I know some of you are more bullish on this one... just not feeling good about it. -

Every thing I read about him from the Elite 11 was kinda meh. Said he crushed it the first day and was ok afterwards. He got mvp because 75% is based on junior year tape. Makes no sense.DoogWhisperer said:

He got MVP because a certain someone wasn't able to attendMotrboatnsob said:

Of small note is that Oklahoma is about to get their 3rd high 4-star WR commit for this class. I'm sure they'd still take Egbuka but maybe they focus their attention elsewhere

Not if Emeka is as good as we all think he is.bananasnblondes said:Of small note is that Oklahoma is about to get their 3rd high 4-star WR commit for this class. I'm sure they'd still take Egbuka but maybe they focus their attention elsewhere

Nobody who lives in Washington State is going to fucking Oklahoma. Fake news, just like the Hatchett recruitment.

They aren’t as dumb as us. If they think there’s a chance the kitchen sink will be thrown in.bananasnblondes said:Of small note is that Oklahoma is about to get their 3rd high 4-star WR commit for this class. I'm sure they'd still take Egbuka but maybe they focus their attention elsewhere

His twitter likes recently are heavily leaning towards Oklahoma fyi. Hopefully UW can catch up but I would bet they are behind right now.BleachedAnusDawg said:Nobody who lives in Washington State is going to fucking Oklahoma. Fake news, just like the Hatchett recruitment.

I think this is good. First it was Clemson, then Ohio State, now Oklahoma.Edwin_Bambino said:

Yeah, hes going through a pattern that could very well lead to "at the end of the day, I just realized that I kept coming back to UW"RoadDawg55 said:

Seems kind of spin zoney but whatever let’s doog! My other doog thought is a 4.0 student isn’t going to Clemson or Oklahoma.RoadDawg55 said:
