The point is, it’s hard enough to hit a moving target when you’re aiming center mass, now you’re saying to shoot him in an extremity. That shot will miss and will most likely take out a bystander. Always aim for the torso.SECDAWG said:
Good God man, does your 13 yo know the difference in anatomy from a liver, lung shot vs a calf or debilitating injury non fatal from a gun shot wound if have to fire involving a fleeing suspect, especially under the current circumstances in the news, which should have no bearing at anytime??!SFGbob said:

Exactly. Why would some Deputy Sheriff from another county supplement your force when he/she knows they will be charged with crimes for trying to do their job. Fuck Atlanta. Fuck that DA. Charges BEFORE the GBI investigation results? What a fucking sham.Sledog said: -
That DA shouldn't even be on the job. He is being investigated for corruption right now and the facts are showing he is corrupt as hell. I played golf with a sheriff and an FBI agent last week. Both said that this DA is the one guy that has to be shown the door. He is so corrupt they have a hard time keeping faith in the City of Atlanta.Swaye said:

I will pay for ten range sessions and see how many times anyone can hit a small target running away. Throw in darkness, throw in the fact you are also moving. Takers?Houhusky said:

DA Last week as cop shot suspect with taser- "A Taser is a deadly weapon!"Bendintheriver said:

This week- "We know a taser isn't a deadly weapon!"
We live in Zone Six where some of the sickouts happened last night. Stayed up as late as could listening to the sounds of the night- usually a few sirens up and down Moreland. Nothing like New York or Chicago but enough you need to get used to it so they don't wake you up. Nothing- Heard nothing last night.
Meanwhile the Today show is having a pity party for a guy who was in jail for DUI and beating his kids. Two cops trying to keep the streets safe are fired and one charged with murder. We're fucking screwed. -
I don't have a problem with them being on paid leave. I think any time an officer takes someone's life it's reasonable for there to be an investigation before they are back patrolling the streets.Fire_Marshall_Bill said:Those cops should still be working.
I can't get behind murder charges on this one. I do think they'll get off but jury trials are always wild cards. -
Prediction: Verdict. Appeal. Bonded out during Appeal. Reversal or vacated verdict. GBA reconsiders re-trial. Cop pleas out to Reckless Endangerment and keeps his Pension.HoustonHusky said:
No way. They will get convicted of something...anything...because the entire legal system will be scared to death of riots and chaos if they don't. They have 0% chance of getting a fair trial.MikeDamone said:My guess is the cops become multi millionaires

Snohomish County Precinct Commander told me "center torso" i.e., "kill zone" in 1985.USMChawk said:

It's upper torso now. More stuff to damage which causes them to stop doing whatever they were doing to cause you to shoot them. We shoot to stop them not to kill them. If they die that's their problem and they caused it.TurdBomber said:

The prosecutor charging police with pointing a taser at a suspect. Listen to his words. Then look at what he said regarding the police shooting. -
-
How you get shot in the back.
-
He didn't shoot the guy in the back. The guy turned and pointed the taser at him that he stole from the cop. If the cop gets hit with the taser the perp has free access to the cop's gun. The shooting was 100% correct.SECDAWG said:He won’t be convicted(well, maybe in Atlanta) but absolutely no reason to have shot the guy in the back running away. Should have shot in the leg. Recent news is that the cop was hit by the taser and suffered a concussion from the assault.BleachedAnusDawg said:

The cop that suffered the concussion wasn't the cop who shot that family man that was just trying to turn his life around.Sledog said:
