This case in Atlanta is going to be a watershed moment...

DA is pressing charges for murder. Trying the case in the court of public opinion presenting evidence right now. This seems highly unusual to do...how do you get an unbiased jury? In my opinion ( not a lawyer ) the officer will ultimately not be convicted of murder. Imagine what will break out once that happens down the road...
Essentially, what is being said here is you are under arrest, fight to get away from the cops, steal a weapon in the process, and then shoot the weapon at the cops, the cops are supposed to let the criminal run away or at best, only give chase.
Irresponsible.

My guess is the cops become multi millionaires

Why any cop in Atlanta (or any major city where all this chaos is going on) stays in their job is beyond me. FS...they should quit/retire and move to a nice small town out in the middle of nowhere if they want to still stay in police work. You'd have to be insane to go to work in Atlanta as a police officer right now.

No way. They will get convicted of something...anything...because the entire legal system will be scared to death of riots and chaos if they don't. They have 0% chance of getting a fair trial.MikeDamone said:My guess is the cops become multi millionaires

They did their job by the book. This is going to get crazy. I'm guessing no conviction and massive lawsuit. The police union is also under attack and they are fighting for relevance hereHoustonHusky said:

I agree...I just think the world is too crazy right now. Their best chance is to get everything delayed until after the election...absolutely zero chance they get a fair shake before that. Maybe they could afterwards...I have my doubts though.
On a side note, apparently the DA is under investigation (pretty much everyone in elected office in Atlanta is crooked) and is probably why he's grandstanding on this...that should help the powder keg. -
DA up for a rough election has to expedite charges. He’s plagiarizing Mike Nifong except at least there is a dead person to rally around and not a skank whore.
People forget DAs are elected and prosecute for votes. -
Yeah, the dead guy was another real hero for the black community to rally around.NorthwestFresh said:DA up for a rough election has to expedite charges. He’s plagiarizing Mike Nifong except at least there is a dead person to rally around and not a skank whore.
