Antifa coming to a town near you

In Forks, Washington, a multi-racial family of four was harassed by armed locals, who believed they represented an antifa incursion. The family had arrived in town on a camping trip, traveling in a full-sized school bus. Local police say they were confronted by “seven or eight carloads” of people, who aggressively questioned them about their antifa connections. When the family attempted to drive off, locals felled trees across the roadway to prevent them from escaping. They were only able to leave after a group of students intervened.

Too bad for them. ANTIFA is probably the one doing these rumors in order to stir things up.insinceredawg said:https://www.theverge.com/2020/6/5/21281581/antifa-bus-hoax-trump-misinformation-protests-police

I think them being labeled as the terrorists they are really helped quell the riots. They would now be subject to federal prosecution as well as all their donors!
Seems their revolution isn't worth prison. Hopefully there is gonna be a lot of arrests of these turds.
It also causes these type of situations which they will point out and use for political purposes. Just like you are doing right now comrade.
Imagine people not wanting there town looted and burned and it's citizens and police murdered. Your side is to blame.

One of my HS football asst coaches was a real dude from Castle Rock.
He once told us a story from a bit before his time (as I recall, being 18) regarding a trip of the Hells Angles riding up the coast with the destination being the top of the peninsula.
At Forks, the loggers, having caught wind of them coming in, blocked the road with their tractors. When the bikers showed the loggers roughed them up and sent them off.
I believe this story like Noah’s Flood. Perhaps not completely accurate but fun with some plausibility.
Later coauthored a Cheese themed school newspaper with him. Because I’m spoonieluv and that’s what I do. -
So do we? need cops, or do we? not need cops? Sounds like Minneapolis police may go on strike.

Yes. Leave it up to the police. That's the conundrum. We should leave it up to the police. But when they don't or aren't allowed to take care of a problem, sometimes someone else will try to take care of it.GrundleStiltzkin said:PM to good or bad people on both sides: Vigilantism is dumb. It's very simple. Protect yourself and property, e.g., one's rights. Don't interfere with anyone else's rights. I personally detest protesting of any stripe, but I defend people's right to do so. If this shit strays into pre-emptive action like blocking people from coming into town or whatever, problems happen. Sitting in your front lawn is almost certainly going to be enough.WestlinnDuck said:

Agreed. But others don't, they will want to be more proactive. The people who say let the police handle it need to understand that has to mean something. If a dem says it, they could give a shit if the left is rioting.

They won't because they're not wired that way. But the new young ones might.

And what about one's neighbors'? My friends business was just destroyed. My other friend's home was threatened this week and they are now leaving their cars at my house because they don't want them torched or flipped. Do I have to wait until the mob comes to my house or can I organize for defense with these people?GrundleStiltzkin said:

I see your point don't twist, but it's not as clear cut and dry out here in the city sprawl of California. -

I don't disagree. It wouldn't have hurt if the cop dude took one step to the left instead of colliding with him but if you're going to play on the freeway, I don't have much sympathy if you get run over by a semi-truck.Sledog said:

Fatigue probably didn't help. Anytime trouble like this comes police switch to 12 hrs on and 12 off. No days off until it's over. Real bad? 16 hour shifts.
