It’s never been about X’s and O’s but some (probably most) coaches do. It’s about getting your group and team to always play hard, play smart, and with confidence.
As dumb as Pete’s X’s and O’s were, the lack of confidence in the players, and the rigged, uptight nature of everyone was always noticeable and the main problem. Things needed to be perfect to go well. Any adversity or player not doing his absolute best and we were fucked. -
