    “Some guys I feel comfortable with are Washington, Oregon, LSU, ASU, Oregon State, Alabama, those guys I’m comfortable,” Franklin said over the weekend while playing in the Pylon 7-on-7 national tournament held about an hour outside Las Vegas.

    “I’ve only been to the West Coast schools, I’ve been to Utah, USC, Washington, Oregon, Oregon State, those are the schools I’ve been too so far.”

    Oregon and Washington are the programs that appear to be in the best shape very early.

    “I think it’s because I have a good relationship with the receiver coaches and all the other coaches and it felt like home,” he said of both schools.

    Ranked by the 247Sports Composite as the nation’s No. 3 receiver and No. 21 prospect overall, Franklin grew up an Oregon fan.

    “DeAnthony Thomas was my favorite player,” he said.

    Oregon was one of the first programs to offer back in January of 2019.

    “Coach (Jonathan) Krause, Coach (Jovon) Bouknight those guys just treat me well,” Franklin said. “We have a good relationship. Coach Cristobal is a great guy and they have a great program and great facility.”

    Washington made a move during a June visit.

    “Oh man it kind of felt like home when I was up there,” Franklin said. “They have a good quarterback Sam Huard (who Franklin plays 7-on-7 with for FSP) and we’re building our relationship. Good relationship with Coach (Jimmy) Lake and Coach (Junior) Adams. Those guys are great. I feel good up there.”

    We’ll see how things change moving forward.

    “I’m trying to get down to the South to visit Alabama, LSU, some other guys.”

    Or just Franklin. The WR depth chart is going to be fine, great even. But there are still no mitigating factors if Egbuka leaves. A guy that good in state is like a once every 10-15 years kind of event. If UW can't get him, it's a long wait for the next opportunity.

    I assume a top WR will be a battle with some scary moments even if he does ultimately choose UW.
    What is it about WRs that make them so difficult to deal with? I've always noticed this. It's not just recruiting them either. They are usually the biggest headaches in the NFL as well. Weird position group.

    It used to be the most dangerous position on offense in particular in the NFL People got paralyzed or killed. And the highlights were sold to the masses at big profit. Captain Crunch time etc.

    Its still not safe but most of the big defenseless hits are gone now so we get Divas who know that in the modern game they are the show. Look at the Patriots without any decent deep threats. They sucked, for them
