I think Trump and Bernie are different sides of the same anti establishment coin. Go back and watch the YouTube videos of everyone laughing at the notion Trump would get the nomination let alone the presidency.

Trump didn't call it the Blue Collar Boom because he is unaware of the Bernie threat to the working class vote
I think that socialists have always overestimated their appeal to blue collar workers. They may be getting fucked but they don't like to be thought of as victims. They don't want hand outs they want a good paying job and a house to drink beer in and watch TV. Was that snobbish enough?
Its a valid argument and the democrat establishment is doing all it can to help Bernie but Trump hasn't lost much if any support since 2016. Its that different side of the coin that makes the difference

A lot of Dems are not going to show up to vote. Mainly, the Biden Dems. Iowa turnout was lackluster. I think Biden's base (centrist, older school Dems) gave up many months ago when they saw their candidate was a fucking senile drooler. I also think these people will not swing over to Bernie. They'd rather see Trump and their will vote will be a no vote. Helps Trump.
Bernie's got the most active, vocal, energized base. Not nearly enough in my opinion. Plus, some, possibly many of the flakey fucks won't actually vote.
Furthermore, I think there are a hell of a lot silent Trump voters. -
