Oklahoma sends a transfer QB to the award ceremony every year. What’s the problem with that?

Is Lincoln Reilly walking in the door some time soon?
So only he can do it?

    This is the UW mentality

Also known as a loser mentality

Who the fuck cares how? Just win.

We dont need transfers. We dont need JC players. We don't need anything to remain relentlessly mediocre

    Fuck that

Jimmy better be sleeping in the office now figuring every fucking angle

This isnt intramurals brother. This is D1 football
I don’t know anything about intramural sports at UW, Race. I’ve been in the IMA like twice.

I don’t understand the disagreement. I said earlier in the thread that I just want to win now baby and if Costello can help us do that then so be it.

I’m just not expecting him to win the Heisman- i.e., Lincoln Reilly magic.

It used to be said in these parts only losers worship the QB position.
It’s not about worship. It’s about improvement at the most important position. Mediocre can get us a shorty Rose Bowl. I have serious doubts Sirmon and/or Morris teaming up with Donovan. With Costello, the potential of a Rose Bowl returns.
@Canadawg whats wrong with this. We didn’t get the upgrade at QB that we desperately needed.

@RoadDawg55 just that it seems that you were assuming alot to say having Costello automatically means a better chance of a RB over our current QBs.

To clarify again, I do not have anything against costello but I find it odd that everyone got so negative about the 3 qbs in the room after Kjs name got floated.

I believe stalin mentioned only needing a solid seasoned QB (who I believe costello is). Is that seriously what gets UW fans excited? A serviceable senior QB?

In a perfect world he signs and gets beat by a higher ceiling QB in the room already.

It’s about competition, you retard. If Costello wasn’t the better option, he wouldn’t have won the job.

    Enjoy bible study with Sirmon.

    Fuck off

Race your pretty laughablet. I think message boards have many people that don’t wish to have any repartee but merely just wish to denigrate other people because they are spiteful, kind of like you and your ilk.

For example you are ignoring my Question and mocking and denigrating me instead. It doesn’t show a lot of “DECORUM” :D

Completely agree but that's not what I'm taking issue with. I said I hoped he signs for just that reason but find it ridiculous that people think its him or nothing. That's all

That’s not the point at all, and the fact that you have to continue to misrepresent the opposing position reveals how weak yours is.

You even backpedal like a doog.

I give my reasons for my opinions and defend them usually with evidence. Some on those boards are spiteful and argue with emotion like here. Maybe you would like to elaborate rather than merely inferring something and doing a juvenile hit and run attack.

WTF'ed for bashing hit and run attacks.

I'm glad we didn't get Costello...

    2018:

12 TD's 2 picks against OSU, UCLA, WSU... among the worst D's the Pac 12 in 2018.

10 TD's 6 picks against UW, Cal, USC, Oregon, ASU, Utah, Notre Dame... teams that could actually play defense. His 10-6 ratio saved by a 3 TD, 0 Int game against Oregon. Really his only great game of 2018 against a quality opponent.

6 more TD's and 2 picks came against SDSU and Cal Davis.

6 for 17 in their bowl game vs Pittsburg for 105 yards no TD's... we'd skewer Browning or Eason if they did that.

... then I went and watched every play against UCF where they got blown out... wasn't injured then and probably should have thrown at least 5 picks in that game. made horrible decisions through out... inaccurate. We know who he is... an underachieving former 5-star who has reached his ceiling and it ain't all that high.

This is a healthy KJ Costello vs UCF last year. Watch this and tell me this is a guy you want leading UW’s offense:

    He looks like utter dogshit.

We’ll re-visit this thread. KJ Costello is an average college QB and he’ll prove it in the SEC.

Idk why you all have such wild wood for the guy...

The Dawgs need to give the ball to a guy in the program and rely on their coaching to get him where he needs to be for the program to be successful. I don’t care to bring in 1 year guys... Costello wasn’t leading next year’s squad to serious success... And all it does is stunt the growth of a QB who can down the road, and who knows... maybe we’ll catch lightning in a bottle with one of them next year. What does that say about our QB development if we bring in 4x 4-star QB’s and not one of em is any good? Costello doesn’t fix that problem if that’s actually the case and all it does is carry the problem over to the next year.
