Remembering Pelluer's 2-Pointer: 222 Days to Michigan

I'm writing this without having watched this video or read the article... But I was 12 years old at that time. Pelluer got sacked late in the third quarter and fumbled. Michigan recovered either inside the UW 10 yard line or maybe in the end zone. Michigan went ahead 24-10. I started throwing a mini-tantrum and told my dad it was all over. He turned to me and said "Son, never lose faith in the Huskies. I will bet you $1 that the Huskies will come back to win."

In the fourth quarter Pelluer completed something like 15 passes in a row, and of course the Huskies won 25-24 on the 2-point conversion in the end zone. Dad claims that I never settled up on that bet, but I'm sure I did.

Curious to see what other details @RaceBannon might add. (He would have been around 95 years old at that time).

Your other Dad should have covered your bet for you.

Very disturbing. A black eye for the Johnson’s, IMO.

When they hit the conversion I jumped up and hit my brother in the head with my elbow

    He deserved it.

This game is the biggest difference between James and Petersen. Michigan was bigger and better. They dominated the game. And lost. James had a knack for that even though he should have been fired numerous times

Its why I thought Petersen could be better and win more consistently but he couldn't. Because he was a soft fucking loser

    James was hard as nails

Never change race, can’t chin this enough

Pete was a nervous wreck anytime we were losing at all. We didn’t have any comeback wins with him that I can remember off the top of my head. Maybe the Arizona close call in 2016, but that was pretty close the whole time.

    Disagree

    Not the case

    Check the facts

    It was always Roc

I can't tell if you're screwing around or serious. But Roc Alexander and Omare Lowe were from the 2001 UW win over Michigan. Three day before 9/11 in fact. The '83 game was Pelluer, Stransky and Larry Michaels.

    Utah 2018
I'm sure you meant 2017, not either of our 2018 wins vs Utah
...and how much do we really count a win that depended on Whittingham?

"Embattled Washington kicker Tristan Vizcaino drilled a game-winning 38-yard field goal as time expired. He was allowed to split the uprights after Utah called a timeout with 23 seconds remaining and the Huskies at their own 30-yard line."

    Yeah, but still.
