This game is the biggest difference between James and Petersen. Michigan was bigger and better. They dominated the game. And lost. James had a knack for that even though he should have been fired numerous times

Its why I thought Petersen could be better and win more consistently but he couldn't. Because he was a soft fucking loser

    James was hard as nails

Pete was a nervous wreck anytime we were losing at all. We didn’t have any comeback wins with him that I can remember off the top of my head. Maybe the Arizona close call in 2016, but that was pretty close the whole time.
    Utah 2018
I'm sure you meant 2017, not either of our 2018 wins vs Utah
...and how much do we really count a win that depended on Whittingham?

"Embattled Washington kicker Tristan Vizcaino drilled a game-winning 38-yard field goal as time expired. He was allowed to split the uprights after Utah called a timeout with 23 seconds remaining and the Huskies at their own 30-yard line."
was that my favorite Jake Browning imitation of an attack helicopter game?

Who was the DB that returned the blocked FG?

    I know “KOMO 4.”

    Fuck off

    20 years too late guys
It was Roc Alexander, Old Man.

It almost took 20 years of tim, but me feeble mind finally remembered.

    Now, go fuck off!!!
What was Roc Alexander? Omare lowe blocked the field goal in 2001.

Roc scooped it and returned it.

Then Vonture (I believe) had a Pick 6 a couple plays later.

Vonture didn't play in 2001. He never played for UW again after the middle of the 2000 season. Omare Lowe had the pick 6. He also had the blocked FG.
I hate people that don’t know UW football

    James was hard as nails

That Michigan game seems like it’s been erased from our collective memory, which isn’t surprising given what happened on the Tuesday after it, but it was a significant game.

Cody’s first start and Reggie’s first game
    Home opener vs top 15
Coming off a Rose Bowl win
We thought Rick in year 3 was going to turn us into the FSU of the West
Down in the 4Q, Michigan about to kick a FG and things not looking good, then completely flipping the game with the block and return followed by the pick 6.

Then we got blown out at the Rose Bowl and stupidly lost at OSU before Miami scored a billion points on us, and gave the next years game vs Michigan to them with the 12 men penalty and we had to fire Rick. FYFMFE
