Shaq Thompson and Lavon Coleman impressing Petersen
“I knew about him in high school, but I didn’t spend much time studying him and researching him, because at the end of the day Boise wasn’t one of the places he was going to go,” UW coach Chris Petersen said. “So when we figured that thing out early on, we kind of moved on. Knew about him certainly when we played against him, studied him there. But, really, I’m still learning about him. If I had to say one thing, what I know right now is he’s just a very good football player. You put him on offense, you put him on defense, you put him as the kick returner, he can just do a lot of things very well. And so I like coming out here to see him get a run and see him make a play on defense and pull the ball out. And so that’s interesting, that’s intriguing. He’s one of the guys I’m real anxious to go play a real game with, to see that show up, because he does so many good things out here.”
Shaq stripped Ross and housed it 50 yards for a touchdown then had a solid practice running the ball. I think many in here can agree that we were a little underwhelmed by Shaq Thompson last season. I don't think that will be the case this next year.
Far as the running game goes with Washington, Callier, Cooper, Coleman, Shaq and Baker getting some carries I think the running game will be fine especially with Miles at QB(even Lindquist or Williams as well can run). I think Petersen is smart enough to pull off a committee like Rick did so well in 2000 while Dude Brah obviously couldn't pull it off.

Says a lot for Petersen to give Shaq that much lip service.
expecting big things from Predator next season. -
Sark kept him completely bottled up..... Really weird and zero outside the box thinking

Pretty much sums up Sark himselfHuskyJW said:Really weird and zero outside the box thinking

I knew Petersen couldn't recruit guys like Thompson!

"You need a handful of backs. No position takes more a pounding." Sounds like we'll see a platoon which I like.
I love his response when someone asked him about does he want his players to learn more about the Northwestern situation. "I want them to focus on the two hours out here on the practice field. Then focus afterwards on academics. I want them to prioritize things". -
Running back by Committee doesn't replace Sankey. The question is are there any backs on the roster that scare opposing defensive coordinators? Can't say that yet, so your generalizations show your ignorance you son of a cunt. Maybe your daddy didn't explain that to you at all those games he took you to (that none of us went to). Keep chugging along there sweettits, this football thing will catch on eventually.He_Needs_More_Time said:http://blogs.seattletimes.com/huskyfootball/2014/04/08/uw-spring-practice-notes-uw-coaches-excited-about-young-running-back-lavon-coleman/

Is QB by committee going to get us to a rose bowl too? -
Yea cause Willie Hurst, Paul Arnold, Braxton Clemen and Rich Alexis really scared opposing defensive coordinators. Good call you ignorant fuck.puppylove_sugarsteel said:

I also think several people in here are really selling Dwayne Washington short. Anyways with Chris Petersen coaching along with Washington, Coleman, Callier, and Cooper plus Shaq/Baker the Huskies will be running the ball quite a bit.
No need for a QB by committee when Cyler Miles has proven to be a Pac-12 caliber starter. -
If it's Coleman/Washington with Miles at qb and no hampering injuries to our receiving core, then wtf is the problem?

LIPO, it wasn't like he was throwing against USC or Stanford.He_Needs_More_Time said:
