    Who would have thought that the 3 times married, philanderer and former Democrat would be the first President to show up in person. Reagan didn't do it, neither did either Bush.

    I would say this is a misstep, but what do I know.

    Abortion is not a hill to die on. Keep it to the first trimester and be done.

    Edit: To be clear it's a non issue to me, a lot of wasted energy and I do feel politically the people that love this love Trump anyway.

    You are correct, this is not just a religious issue. They have a lobbying group that speaks for them in Congress. I attended a glad handing event in the Rotunda that was put on by this group and the people who attended the March for Life event were surprisingly very, very diverse. Many democrats too. It is an interesting group. People just think it is a bunch of religious zealots and that perspective is totally wrong.

    Past Presidents have spoken via phone. Many Congressional members have spoken in person in the past. Just my opinion but it is pretty wimpy for past Presidents to be too afraid of photo ops to attend in person but did so over a telephone.
