Petersen's greatest accomplishment at UW

I beseech ye in the bowels of Christ @creepycoug , think it possible that because you are such a self loathing Dawg it's possible you are mistaken.creepycoug said:
Someone posted a point on the Duck board in the P12 Championship predictions that seems oddly oddly on point here. They said Oregon would get their asses kicked by Ute but would score enough in the second half to make it look respectable and hide the fact that it was an ass kicking. I thought it odd at the time because I haven't seen Oregon lose like that too often. Their losses the last couple of years have tended to be clear losses (Arizona on the road in 2018) or snatching defeat from the jaws of victory (Stanford; Auburn).PostGameOrangeSlices said:

I didn’t happen in three NY6 games in a row under the big lights. Obviously Pete failed to pass the big game test at UW and he wasn’t “the guy” by his own admission. But from 2016- 19 his teams didn’t get plungered once.DerekJohnson said:

Oklahoma. Whoa Nellie
We could have given LSU a better game than they did.
Two losses by 4 points total.
Ohio State last year was 13-1...
Washington NY6 losses with Peterman, OTOH, fit that description of Oregon much better. All three games were made to look better and more competitive on the final scoreboard than they really were. They were plungers. The D held its own against Bama, given. But you scored one fucking TD.
Both PSU and OSU games had lipstick applied to them late.
The Fiesta Bowl was a competitive game. It was a 1 score game for much of the 2nd half and we had the ball at the end of the game with a chance to tie. This was not a plunger dressed up with some grabage time scores against 2nd stringers. BE OBJECTIVE - EVERY POST MATTERS!!!

It's not there. Race is right; he didn't really succeed here. He picked the low hanging fruit and cleaned up the program from below average status. But he was a three-year bully in the cancer ward, and nothing more.
Eat that raw Yella. Chase it with a smoove burbon.

Not sure about your maff, @YellowSnow. Need to see the full transcript, not just Adam Schiff's version.

The laws of maff and physics are unchanged since the big bang. What I have posted above is objective truth. Take your alternative facts elsewhere.TurdBomber said:Not sure about your maff, @YellowSnow. Need to see the full transcript, not just Adam Schiff's version.

The lead was 7 for 3:58 in the 3rd Qtr and 14 for 11:02 of that quarter. The 14 pt lead then held until 6:52 left in the 4th, when it dropped to 7 again. That's 19 minutes and 10 seconds, out of 30 minutes, that OSU held a 14 point lead in the 2nd half.
Sorry Dude, but the maff doesn't lie. -
Yep. Pretending those weren’t big time opponents is wrong. Penn State was loaded with the best RB in the country and tons of surrounding talent. McSorely was a very good QB too.PostGameOrangeSlices said:

I just posted the Fiesta Bowl scoring drives above on the Maff. Rose Bowl was closer to plunger, made to look better by the 2nd half. At the end of the day, it's either a plungering or not. If the team fights back and puts stress on the other team, it's not a plungering.TurdBomber said:The lead was 7 for 3:58 in the 3rd Qtr and 14 for 11:02 of that quarter. UW caught Penn State when they were hot as a pistol, and UW was slow to get going. Everyone was talking shit about the Penn State QB not being very good, and all he did was hand the UW DBs their asses, along with Barkley, who was the toughest RB any UW player on that team had ever encountered. It was closer than the Rose Bowl, but still a 2 score game most of the way.RoadDawg55 said:

That game was winnable if UW could've gotten some key stops, but they couldn't.
The Rose Bowl, in contrast, was over by halftime. -
As you might have noticed, I'm only calling the Rose Bowl a plungering, not the Fiesta or even the Peach, really, which didn't get out of hand until late in the game and without that pick before half, who knows how tight the game might've been?YellowSnow said:

Degree of Dominance determines plundering or no plundering. OSU dominated UW like it's bitch for most of that game, then let up, played 2s & 3s and UW finally got some momentum late in the 2nd half, when it was far too late and the game was over. -
That reason is putting up points in the second half to take the games from obvious plungering to respectable. The very thing some Doog posted in the Quook forum in his P12 Champ. Game prediction. It's that.YellowSnow said:
Disagree. 2017 Penn State was very, very close to being a CFP team. Same with 2018 Ohio State, granted they were flawed compared to this year's squad. Fact of the matter, is that any number of elite to good programs have gotten boat raced in CFP or NY6 games but for some reason Pete's team found ways to avoid the plunger.DerekJohnson said:

In neither the Fiesta or Rose did I ever think Washington would win, even w/ MMG. I thought both Penn State and Ohio State let Washington hang around, and if the stars had aligned properly flirted with being in a position to get burned by pulling a Rip Van Winkle in the second half. In neither game did Washington look ready to be there.
