Who do you WANT the starting QB to be against Michigan?

I understand the liking to Costello, but it's hard not to believe a lot of his success has been from having some of the best TEs in CFB to throw the ball to. I don't think Washington has any 6'7"-6'8" large framed TE like Stanford had. I also don't think they even have a large bodied wide receiver on the outside like he had at Stanford. I think Costello would be a little underwhelming in Washington's system.BleachedAnusDawg said:Costello.

I don’t really want Costello, but in fairness we have no idea what Washington’s system will be and how he would fit into it. Also in regards to your comment on tall receivers, I think Mark Redman will play this year and he definitely fits the mold of a Stanford size receiving TE.PandaOrangeChiknDuck said:

Costello just followed the LSU OC on Twitter. Ship sailed.

He was a perfect fit for a year here

Two ducks were opposed to Costello coming here. Now ask yourself why

I'm not opposed to Costello. I just don't think he'll be as good at UW as he was two years ago at Stanford. He's definitely serviceable, but if you're relying on him like you guys did Eason, you will be just as underwhelmed. I guess it depends on who the new OC will be.RaceBannon said:Two ducks were opposed to Costello coming here. Now ask yourself why

My vote is any of the above -
Morris
Ask yourself why you don't have any desire for a quarterback that tore out your heart and ate it in 2017 and was a redzone decision from tearing out Darnold's heart as well.RaceBannon said:Two ducks were opposed to Costello coming here. Now ask yourself why

This. Let’s not be stupid. He’s more proven and very likely better than any QB we have. He’s also had a season that was quite a bit better than Eason’s best.BleachedAnusDawg said:Costello.

SirmonI voted for Sirmon because I think he is the #2 qb behind Morris. There had to be some reason for his failed transfer attempt.

This is how I feel. Simply because I know the least about him, I’ll choose Garbers. Morris and especially Sirmon seem like nothing special.AtomicDawg said:I would love for Sirmon to put it all together but don’t think he has it in him. Wasn’t impressed by sirmon nor Morris in high school. I will roll with The unknown.

how do we? manage to recruit the crappiest 4 star QBs consistently? then step up to a 5 star and destroy his confidence?
if I was Huard I would run as fast as I could to a school that appreciates QBs -
Sirmon
Maybe the 5 star was also crappy.LebamDawg said:how do we? manage to recruit the crappiest 4 star QBs consistently? then step up to a 5 star and destroy his confidence?

The line of failed former 4 and 5 star qbs is incredibly long. Its not just us. Go back and look at the list of qbs Oregon, USC, UCLA, etc have pulled in over the last 10 years and see how many have actually done anything meaningful. -

I’m fucking outta here if we’re going to start bashing a bag of dicks.Swaye said:But seriously, Morris. I already know Sirmon is a bag of dicks.

No clue who any of those people are.

This, only way to ensure Huard starts like BrownsocksBleachedAnusDawg said:Costello.

I think it was because he was, at least to the coaches, far behind Haener. So if Haener started after Eason, Sirmon would only have one year as a potential starter and he knows Huard is coming too.dOgmaster said:I voted for Sirmon because I think he is the #2 qb behind Morris. I’ll be surprised if Sirmon ever starts. My guess is he transfers. It could be after the season so he can be a grad transfer, but it will happen. -

Our offense sucks. That’s the reason. That said, most 4 and 5 star QB’s flame out. Only one can play, at least for 95% of the schools worth a shit. It’s not like another position with multiple starters or where you can share time.LebamDawg said:how do we? manage to recruit the crappiest 4 star QBs consistently? then step up to a 5 star and destroy his confidence?

SirmonDue to our contractual requirement to start Jacob at QB.
Also we already have our hatred of Jacob the QB ready to unleash. -

Don't t count out the little skinny guy (Morris). Big guys like Sirmon aren't always swinging around a big schlong. I went to HS and played hoops with a guy who graduated at 6'9" and had offers everywhere. He followed David Robinson to Navy, and ended up transferring to Pitt. Drafted around #30 by the Celtics and didn't last long. He was 6'11 by that point.PurpleJ said:Measure their penises. Biggest man wins.
Anyways, point was the guy had about a 3" dick, and that's me projecting the potential growth of the little nub we'd see and snicker about in the locker room. Probably being generous.
