They might as well be Detlef Shrempf or Manute Bol. Dropping bombs from all over the court when a game is on the line. Wade historically may or may not be greater than Pippen but when Lebron started playing with him he wasn't better than Pippen.
Pippen always had to guard the opponents best wing player and remember in the 1991 Finals he was guarding Magic after game one since Magic had his way with Michael.

MJ I'd rank over Lebron. I'd say I'd put Russell over both though. -
Wade and Pippen is a tough decision. Pippen was possibly the best player in the NBA when Jordan retired the first time. He was certainly top 5 (Hakeem, David Robinson, Malone, Shaq, Barkley) and he was the best perimeter defender in the league. Wade is great too. Even though Wade isn't as dynamic as he once was, the past two years he has averaged 21.2 and 19.3 while shooting over 50%. He's still really good.Doogles said:

Rodman over Bosh is a no brainer. I remember Charles Barkley saying the Heat had the three best players when they played the Bulls in the playoffs last year. I thought it was fucking stupid because I'm taking Noah over Bosh every time.

I completely disagree about the game not being the same since Jordan left. I think he's the best ever, but his second run of championships was the start of the NBA turning to shit. Both finals against Utah were fucking dreckfests. In 12 games, only once did a team break 100 points. I will take Dallas over Miami and last year's finals over those every time.

He was certainly top 5 (Hakeem, David Robinson, Malone, Shaq, Barkley) and he was the best perimeter defender in the league. Wade is great too. There are many reasons why Lebron can never pass Jordan. Jordan never quit on his team like Lebron did in last game for Cleveland. Jordan never disappeared in the Finals like Lebron did against Dallas. Lebron had guys like Jason Kidd and JJ Barrea guarding him and he's playing hot potato.
The biggest reason though, the horrific mistake you have made, is that you do not ever want to piss MJ off. This is a man that was obsessed with winning. He would take any tiny perceived slight and use it as fuel. And you want to pick someone else ahead of him? So, you picked first and you took Lebron. You want poke the giant, ok, alright. I'll take Jordan second and he'll spend every second obsessing over destroying Lebron. How do you think Lebron is going to react to that?
Guys like Lebron and Kobe are great players. Great at basketball. Truly amazing on the court. Michael Jordan was something else, something more.
Rodman is better than Bosh. Inch for inch the best rebounder in NBA history. Complete nastiness defensively, tenacious, intimidating. If you're trying to win a championship Rodman is by far the better big man piece than Bosh, and it's not even close.
Rodman over Bosh is a no brainer. I remember Charles Barkley saying the Heat had the three best players when they played the Bulls in the playoffs last year. I thought it was fucking stupid because I'm taking Noah over Bosh every time. -

Have to go w/ Jordan here for the reasons given. What he did to Utah while battling through legit flu and dehydration is all-time. The guy was a sociopath about losing; everybody who ever played or coached in the NBA knows that. I, too, would hate to be the GM who passed on him and had to live knowing he had my face on his calendar at home marking each time he'd get to bend me over that season.
James is a physical phenom and about as agile as I've seen a guy that size be. But I think mentally he's not where Jordan was. Jordan just did not disappear in the playoffs; Lebron has.
As to Pippin/Wade - two different players and hard to compare, but Pippin was a nobody w/o Jordan and Wade was a very big somebody before James showed up in Miami. Neither Jordan nor James won their respective titles alone, that's for sure. Nobody ever does.
These are hard things to really put to rest once and for all. Unlike the 91 Miami / Washington debate, which I am categorically right about, these things leave room for debate. But I'd put my last paycheck on Jordan 7 days a week. Not sure I'd do the same with James. -

Lebron is the most valuable player ever so you start a team with him. But if you need to win 1 game, MJ is the choice.
RoadDawg is correct about Pippen. The guy was almost the MVP of the league in 94. Wade in his first run with Shaq was better than Pippen, but Pippen has been far more valuable over time. It was really Pippen's emergence to a bona fide star that pushed the Bulls over the top.
