Deserves Own

@RoadDawg55 had a take in another thread that is exactly how I feel.

“I’m trying to be patient. I don’t think everything is as broken as some of you. The offense should change and is long overdue.

We don’t play without emotion. The players were having a lot of fun in the first half and were really fired up. The DL looked the best they had all year early on. At times, we look very good.

I don’t think Pete is suddenly a bad coach. I don’t question his effort. He is bad in close games and needs to fix it. I am very worried about QB next year without Eason. That’s all the more reason to change the offense.

You are what your record is and right now we suck. I think we have some really good young players who are steadily improving. The margins are small tho. We all know we aren’t far off from having a really good record. That’s what makes it so frustrating. This isn’t like Sark where we knew we would get plungered every road game.

I’m worried about some things and right now sucks, but I am still fairly confident we’ll have some really good teams soon.”

One thing he mentioned, “He is bad in close games”.

This is something that has been killing the Doog in me. Soon I’ll just be Courics. Pete never gets blown out. It’s always close, even when it’s not.

Prior to this season, he had an insane record in games he led at the half, I believe 45-1. This year, he’s lost 3 of them, all at home, where he had won 20 of 21.

So those records have taken a hit, but surely, a handful of the games that built those records were close games that he held off the opposing team right?

Not really. Pete is now 0-3 in one score games this season and 9-16 at UW in one score games. When he wins, he wins by multiple scores.

As this season has shown, Pete struggles in game management and in game decisions. When the game is close, Pete loses twice as often as he wins.

Quite honestly, I knew I was frustrated with his in game decisions and knew the team loses close games and doesn’t get blown out. But I had no idea Pete was that bad in close games.

I'll issue you a challenge. Don't watch the next game. Don't even check your phone for score updates. Tune out and go do something else.

You'll feel much much better. Trust me.

This is exactly what I did from 2002 until 2009.

I'm sure it's not, but whatever you choose to do is bound to be better than watching Pete's frustrating brand of football. Quite honestly, I can't bring myself to watch this shit. It's visual torture.

    I wish I could guys.

But it’s so much worse than you think.

I’m actually going to the game. It’s been in the works since the offseason to attend with some Beaver buddies I have.

Yes they’ve been cuttin it up about how they’re going to put 40 on us and thanking me for Babushka.

And yes, I’ve been contemplating self immolation.

    I'm so sorry. That's awful.
Drunken misery together with other Husky fans could be spun to be fun. With Beavs, yeah, they’re going in dry on you after.
