It’s been written before, but it suddenly bears repeating: entering the game, Stanford’s defense ranked 127th nationally in opponent completion percentage (70.6%), 126th in opponent pass efficiency rating (170.60), 124th in opponent yards per attempt (9.4), 115th in passing defense (287.4 yards per game) and 111th in touchdown passes allowed (11).
Glad someone is writing tough but fair articles and hope it continues.
Lots of crap about firing Hamdan in comment section. And if that's truly the problem, that's fine. But I'd like to see Pete quizzed about whose offense it really is, and how much control he exercises over it. I think we all know the answer, but I want to see him admit it, without bullshit or doublespeak or "we'll check the tape" non-answers. Fat chance that'll ever happen though.
Small issue with the title of the other article: "Stanford stuns No. 15 Washington in merciless, methodical thrashing" - I don't feel stunned whatsoever, and isn't that the most damning evidence of all? - That fans are getting used to this shit? And if he's referring to the TEAM being stunned, then still that isn't any better.

Vorel captured my thoughts nicely with "utterly incompetent" and "utterly ineffective".
Last night's game is a huge indictment on Petersen's system since we are at this point in year 6 where nobody else is capable of playing according to the coach.
