My parents were takers. They took out much more than they put in. I remember my dad paying a couple of percent in social security and was maxed out by March 31st. My Mom paid less tha a hundred bucks into social security in the 1950s and zero in Medicare taxes. Aa for me Ihave paid in the max for decades. I will get far less than if I had put it into a 401(k). Just call me a giver.
