I think he’s going to focus on the season, enjoy a couple games and either realize out of all of his schools his UNQUESTIONED best chance to be developed to his ceiling is at UDUB and the UNQUESTIONED most prestigious degree that sets you up for job opportunities in a REAL BIG MARKET CITY is at UDUB and he comes here or makes risks losing out in millions of dollars on or off the field.



IMO I think it’s every kid’s dream to get recruited. You work so much harder than people realize and your parents sacrifice to get you to camps and stress all day about what’s next. I’d rather have him getting cold feet now then say when Asa got his.



OU hasn’t had a DB drafted in the 1st or 2nd round since 2002. I’m pretty sure that’s the same year Jacobe was born. He’s liked tweets about how 4/5 star defenders go there all the time and go nowhere. If you don’t develop or get hurt in Norman what does that degree do for you and what lucrative job offerings are there in OKLA-FUCKING-HOMA. What job offers are there in College Station with a Texas A&M degree?


USC went 5-7 with recruiting classes ranked 10th, 8th, 4th, 4th, 2nd. If they did that poorly with that how are they going to do with classes ranked 16th and lower this year? Iman Marshall and Marvell Tell were rated way higher than Jacobe. Both 5th rounders. Jordan Miller didn’t redshirt as a 160pound freshman had an INT the next year in the apple cup, snapped his leg in half as a JR, never redshirted, split time with Keith still nursing was too nervous for the combine and did poorly AND HE WAS STILL A 5TH ROUNDER.



Oregon will promise Jacobe early playing time just like all the guys, lie to him and focus on his short team stuff to get him on field rather than focusing on long term earning potential and then we’re right back to does their degree in a small shitty town set Jacobe up financially like a degree from UDUB would in a big city like Seattle? No way in hell.



I don’t get his concern with playing time because we were loaded last year and still every FROSH got to play 4 games. AND with us playing Dime-Super Dime-Nickel more than any team in the country AND having players leave early for the draft, playing time is going to be there. It’s about earning that and competing with the best to either get that spot or make the other person better until it’s your turn to show off what you learned when those guys pushed you or you were chasing after them.


It’s just too much of a perfect fit and we need to big him up as being the perfect fit rather than saying this is such a good fit that if you don’t see it you’re not cool. That’s all on me and I feel awful for being lazy about how I worded thing. I’m sorry I had a bad post and I’m sorry this is long but I truly in my heart of hearts want to do anything for kids to see how complete of a money package UDUB is right now and how they can change their lives WITHOUT football at UDUB let alone with it. WHAT FANBASE HAS JACOBE TO UDUB TWITTER ACCOUNTS AND HAS PEOPLE SITTING UP AT 11:30 WORRYING ABOUT JACOBE COVINGTON?! THATS HOW MUCH WE WANT HIM!!
