4.59 at 224 pounds equals 4.7 at 240 pounds. Maybe 4.65 at best. He's a tweener.lawsandl said:Johnny Wilson could gain another 15 pounds and still play out wide. He’s a sub 4.6 40 kid with a 4.25 shuttle. If the S&C staff want him to be explosive, he will be.
There is more to playing WR than speed tho. You have to be able to start and stop quickly, change direction smoothly, get in and out of brakes. He doesn't have that stuff. His film and route running are very basic. Just go routes and slants and posts. He'll never be good enough of a route runner to play WIDE receiver and be effective. He's a slot/flex TE guy but doesn't play as big as he is. He's a 50-50 ball guy. Not a consistent separation guy. He needs a specific role in an offense that minimizes his weaknesses which means putting him in the slot and trying to get mismatches against nickels, safeties, and linebackers. -
You’re also the one that thinks Sewell can’t play ILB. You catastrophize any event related to Oregon. The kid looks like he’s filled out and probably mostly maxed out. Also, he is not necessarily losing speed or agility if he adds weight.StrongArmCobra said:

The kid has a 4.25 shuttle at 6’6” 225. His agility is fantastic.

Exactly. Sewell will NEVER play LB in college he is too fat. Now who is the stupid motherfucker?lawsandl said:

Of corse they didn’t want him anyway.😂😂😂😂

All our WR will have to compete for playing time. I think we have seven 4 star WR’s
Bryan Addison
Isaiah Crocker
Juwan Johnson
Jaylon Red
Mycah Pittman
Lance Wilhoite
Josh Delgado
Of course you guys didn’t want any of these guys. They are all trash. They don’t compare to the Husky receiving core.😂😂😂

Sewell lost weight. Good for him. If he can continue to do so he could be a decent ILB in college. Old school run stuffer but not a heat seeking missile speedster with ridiculous closing speed. I'd take Jordan Banks over Sewell.lawsandl said:

Wilson is not "filled out". He's skinny and has a soft physique. He needs to gain strength and lean muscle mass. He's gonna be 240 rather easily. No reason to think he won't get slower as he gets bigger. He's not known for being all that explosive or fast. He's not Darrell Daniels coming out of high school. He's Brayden Lenius.
My evaluation of Wilson has nothing to do with him being an Oregon lean. I said the same exact thing when he was a UW lean. -
UW wanted Bryan Addison strictly as a safety. Pittman and Delgado were close to being UW takes but didn't make the cut. I don't think it's a coincidence that those two guys were offered and recruited by UW and have been Oregon's most impressive young WR's based on what I heard during Spring ball.DJDuck said:All our WR will have to compete for playing time.
