Unfortunately for you and Notre Dame fans, he’s a perfect specimen for an enforcing safety who just destroys everyone. Pair him up with Cam Williams who gets to free roam with his ball skills, and it’s going to be beautiful. Better version of Rapp/JoJo.
And then we haven’t even gotten to Julius.
My God.

National championships are not won with boy scouts. How does dismissing a kid from the team when he's just a Sophmore jive with Petersen's Built for Life shit? How does giving up on him or making an example out of him for the rest of the team help him become a better man? It doesn't.
There are very few things he could have done to deserve being dismissed and I don't see any of them being in his character. Shit like smoking weed or knocking out a teammate are not worthy of being dismissed. I would like him even more if he knocked somebody out, especially if it was Van Soderberg. We need some kids with some edge on this fucking team in order to beat teams like Bama, Clemson, Georgia, and Ohio State. -

His measurables won’t be good enough to be a first round pick. 6’2 TE who runs around a ~4.7 40. NFL teams care too much about that stuffbigcc said:

I hope Jamyn Patu got one look at Cam Davis and was like "yeah I'm never playing here" and jumped in the portal.

I'd generally agree, he'd need to be a combine warrior to get into the first round. But Evan Engram did it with similar measureables, so it's not completely out of the question.NEsnake12 said:

After a senior season where Engram had 65 catches, 8 TDS, and almost 1000 yards receiving for Ole Miss in 11 games.
I’ll be surprised if Petersen’s scheme ever gets 50+ receptions to Bryant. Maybe it’s possible in a season where UW plays 14 or 15 games? 5+ catches a game for Bryant seems way out of scheme... meh

How does this get a negative response at all? Man some of you need to get out of the basement and go for a walk or something.StrongArmCobra said:I hope Jamyn Patu got one look at Cam Davis and was like "yeah I'm never playing here" and jumped in the portal.

Maybe because sometimes you say stupid things and we don’t need asshats here. Humor is good asshole is fuck off. The kid worked his ass off and you insult him. Fuck yourself.StrongArmCobra said:

God you're such a fucking pussy. A walk on quit the team and I made a joke about it that wasn't even insulting to him and you and a couple others get your panties in a bunch. It was about complimenting Cam Davis and the kind of talent I hope and think he possesses.Meek said:

Jesus this place is becoming Doogman 2.0. People wanting me banned for questioning Petersen at all instead of blindly accepting and trusting every decision he makes and now people are saying "we don't want assholes here." I'm not going anywhere and I'm not censoring myself for your approval. You fucking doogs can take your asses back to Doogman where you belong if you don't like it. -

Eason throws a lot to TEs though. Isaac Nauta had 29 receptions (as a freshman) in 2016, and that guy straight up blows. If Hunter plays every game and doesn't have 40+ receptions this year I'd consider that a huge failure by the coaching staff.

2017 - Bryant 22/331/1, Dissly 21/289/2; Tot 43/620/3
2016 - Daniels 17/307/3, Sample 9/106/0, Dissly 4/47/1: Tot 30/460/4
2015 - Perkins 36/539/3, Daniels 19/250/1, Sample 5/45/2; Tot 60/1165/6
2014 - Perkins 25/315/3, Daniels 11/171/1; Tot 36/486/4
I would like as much as the next person that Petersen used the TEs more, especially given how shit the WRs have been outside of Ross/Pettis and how noodle armed the QB has been. But its clear the scheme is not going to pepper Bryant with the required pass attempts to put up Engram like numbers in 11 games.
If Bryant gets 65 catches in a season he will have more single season receptions than any other player under Petersen not named John Ross.
In 14 games Bryant getting about 45/700/5 seems like a fair prediction given the scheme Petersen/UW runs. -
Yeah but that's all with Browning at the helm, and he was allergic to the middle of the field. I think Eason is a lot more conducive to TE targets.Houhusky said:
