I know next to nothing about LA's homeless problem. But if it's anything like Seattle's then a federal solution is completely unnecessary. The city has the resources to address homelessness, just not the stomach for it.

It could very well be effective. They could move thousands of people out of homelessness every year. But if the same number continue to flock to the city seeking their "compassion", then it's money poorly spent.salemcoog said:

We subsidize white trash red states with $400 billion+ in annual tax payments to the federal rathole —about 15% of total annual federal revenue. Garcetti is too kind in asking for our money back.
