USC was using a scare tactic. Also, that was out in the open.

Jones absolutely was a take and you’re foolish not to think so. If he wasn’t, it was a missed evaluation. Kid scored the highest grade by PFF against UCLA of any player on field. The talent is obvious.

Who cares what SC was doing? He didn't want to go to Oregon. He'll be in the transfer portal a year from now claiming homesickness.

Oh wow, Jones had one good game against the worst team in the conference that season? That's special.

SC told him that a math class wouldn’t allow him to enroll at Oregon. So, it isn’t about being homesick. Bottom line you do lot of fortune telling and it’s entirely negative for Oregon and positive for UW. It’s a cognitive distortion.

Jones was the best player on the field that day no matter which team, as a true frosh. That’s a better indication of future success than your distorted fortune telling.

You’re basically saying that because there are two out of shape players, the Oline is not athletic. The people that get paid to analyze recruits all mention Jones and Johnson as being athletic. If they take strength and conditioning seriously, they will be good to great players. They’ve already taken weight off and there is no indication that won’t continue.

One of the Ty years the DAWGS had a veteran laden O line returning and the number of starts stat was a huge doog thing especially back then when it "could" be a good indicator more so than now.

Of course if all those starts were by guys who sucked and who were coached by Ty the results were the same as if they were all freshmen. We sucked again.

Today's game you have schools like Bama that recruit 5 stars across the front and have them three years so there is always turnover

Its why is pays not to run the Albert Einstein 76 passing routes per play offense but still

Right. However Lemieux, Throckmorton, Sewell are all NFL caliber players and that’s not me making it up. There is experience and talent on the Duck’s oline. Where Oregon is win or lose is between Herbert’s ears and the WR making some plays. That’s the question on Oregon’s offense.

JFC he was not the best player on the field you unbelievable quook. You think Cristobal would be wasting time starting the fat transfer from Bama if Jones was some potential Freshman All-American. We saw him start Sewell as a true Freshman so why wouldn't he start Jones if he was so good? It's because he ain't that fucking good. Like I said, UCLA was terrible that season and had a completely gutted roster from Chip Kelly running off at least 30% of the team. Jones could have literally been going against walk-ons for all you know. Nothing about that one game is impressive.

I didn't name two fat, slow-footed players. I named three which might not seem like a big deal but it is. Oregon currently has 14 scholarship O-lineman on their roster. SIX of them are Seniors. That means Oregon will return only EIGHT scholarship lineman next season and THREE of them are slow-footed, unathletic fat asses who can only lean on guys in the run game and can't block, smaller, quicker D-lineman in pass pro. The Pac-12 is loaded with smaller, speed oriented D-lines because only UW and USC are able to recruit big bodied D-lineman.

So yeah, Oregon's O-line depth is trash and they are kinda fucked 2020 and beyond. On top of that, the 2020 class is a very weak class for offensive lineman, especially out West. When UW gets Rosengarten, Oregon will really be fucked. Greatwood was great at finding athletic, 3-star lineman and developing them into good players. Cristobal is fucking your O-line up with the fat asses. That SEC of West shit is not going to work in the Pac-12. You gotta have lineman that can move their feet in this league or else the speedier D-lines will blow right past them for sacks and tackles for loss like you saw against Arizona and WSU last season.

It’s a pretty simple explanation. Jones got better as the season went along, he got significant time in the UCLA game, he started against Utah and was injured. They tried to redshirt him because there wasn’t a need to play a true frosh.

Also, did Oregon lose against WSU and Zona because they’re bad on the road or because the OL got dominated by the DL? I can’t keep all of the Oregon ineptitude straight as the licked their way to 9 wins.
The fact that Jones saw the field at all raises major red flags about Oregon's O-line depth. Why wasn't there a RS Sophomore or Junior getting those game reps when there was an injury? When you have only EIGHT returning scholarship lineman for the 2020 season, and only one returning starter, how the fuck was the next best O-lineman in the depth a true Freshman? That's fucking terrible. You are in massive denial about what's coming down the pipe for Oregon's O-line. Cristobal is not some great O-line coach. He's a blowhard meathead who thinks big people beat little people. That only works if the big people are fucking athletic and can move their feet quickly.

I'm pretty sure it can be both. I watched both the Oregon games against WSU and Arizona. Oregon sucked on the road and their O-line struggled mightily with smaller, faster D-lines that do a lot of single gap penetrating. Oregon had defenders in the backfield before their lineman were barely out of their stances. Watch the first half of Oregon against WSU. Beating Oregon's O-line off the ball with speed and penetration is the formula to beat them and other teams will copy it. Oregon won't be sneaking up on anybody anymore and their schedule is brutal.

Let’s be really clear about Oregon’s 9 wins:

    1) 3 wins against the worst non-conference schedule in the conference

    2) A 5-4 P12 conference schedule that Sark would have been proud of

    3) Beating Sparty in a bowl game that rivaled Cal/TCU for worst bowl game of the year

So yeah ... congrats on those 9 wins

Sure. It was an ugly 9 wins. However, if you’re honest with yourself, there’s a lot of positives as well. Oregon learned some resiliency. The team doesn’t have the mental fortitude to win an ugly game like MSU the past three years. They don’t bounce back and win 3 in a row after the stretch they had in the middle. I loved that Oregon pulled out an ugly win. If the offense didn’t play well, the defense always folded.

Michigan State's offense was the worst in the country at that point. The Redbox bowl was a retard fight with both offenses trying their hardest to lose the game. You sound exactly like a fucking doog during the Sark era. If UW had went to the Redbox bowl last season and won it 7-6, I would have considered that a loss. We have higher expectations now.

So for the Quook on the board right now ... here’s 3 options for you regarding Oregon’s trip to Seattle this year:

    1) Oregon pulls out a close win

    2) UW pulls out a close win

    3) UW pushes UW’s shit in

You’re fooling yourself if you think the likelihood isn’t lowest to highest probabilities on that list

And one more thing for the Quooks on their off-season Natty celebration ... why are the idiots in the media picking Oregon to win the conference but the experts in Vegas backing UW hard?

Vegas has to be wrong ... clearly

I have followed the Ducks since ‘92. I have seen about everything dude. You are obsessed with making comparisons to your own experiences. Cristobal is on a different path than Sark.
