Governor Sisolak

@GovSisolak

“Once effective, the National Popular Vote Interstate Compact could diminish the role of smaller states like Nevada in national electoral contests and force Nevada’s electors to side with whoever wins the nationwide popular vote, rather than the candidate Nevadans choose”

    The founders obviously saw one or two large cities determining the vote. Can't have that.

    His reason is of course pure bullshit but if he's looking for the voters of his state to have the largest impact his ultimate decision isn't wrong.

    The 2020 presidential election will likely boil down to about 200,000 voters in three states. Whomever wins at least two out of Pennsylvania, Wisconsin and Michigan likely wins the election. How is the electoral college not an example of a few states holding the rest of the country hostage?

    True. And trump will lose the popular vote again by 3 million votes minimum.

    Good thing we don't rely on the popular vote to elect Presidents isn't it El Monte.

    Is that a substantive comment GayBob?

    You assume the other states are static which they aren't

    I'd be curious to know how many voters are out there like myself. I didn't vote for Trump in 2016, but I'd vote for him now. Trump's popular vote totals could increase.

    And you still need Ohio and Florida if you are GOP in particular

    I expect Trump's total to go up as well as the states he wins

    How can they not with Putin helping him?
