247 is the better system for west coast kids because they actually have guys covering the west coast. That being said, they haven't done a big re-ranking in awhile. Garbers may jump up like in the other systems or he might stay where he's at.StrongArmCobra said:
Are 247's current rankings not based on his Junior season? That's the most recent information these sites have to go on right? So based on his Junior season, ESPN and Rivals rated him in the top 15 of Pro QB's and 247 rated him outside the top-40. Thanks for doing the research to prove the large variation in his rankings. 247 is fucking up IMO.bananasnblondes said:
The different companies update at different times. I can't remember when 247 does their big summer re-classification but they haven't updated in awhile. He may jump us like he did with the other networks or he might stay the same. Either way, it's too early to say that 247 is under-ranking him or the others are over-rankingStrongArmCobra said:Garbers got a composite rating bump up to 4-star status but his 247 rating is an 83? That's weird. Must be a huge variation between his 247 rating and ratings on the other sites that make up the composite. He's so easy to hate right now with him probably being 6'1 190 and looking like another typical Petersen JAG QB but his production as a Junior was legit. I hope the 247 guys are dead wrong about him.
For reference, his rankings are currently
ESPN - 4* - Pro QB #6- #131 overall
Rivals - 4* - Pro QB #12
247 - 3* -Pro QB #43 -
Either way it'll be interestingbananasnblondes said:

That’s the recently USC to Illinois transfer QB Jack Sears to you. -
Oh and don’t forget Princeton Tiger great QB Kevin Davidson!
Look Garbers is fine but these camps are redundant and a relatively weak way to evaluate players. -
Yeah but look at that jawline. Nothing weak there.

The thing that stood out to me was that DJ Ukelele was also at this camp, also got an Elite 11 invite... but Garbers was the QB MVP
