Never, because the demographics have changed. Mixed-black recruits outnumber full-black recruits out West. That's not a problem. It just is what is it is. The mixed-black kids and poly kids are the majority of the top talent out West and that will continue going forward. We do very well with those two demographics so we're fine. Out of the few full-black recruits out West this cycle, we're doing pretty well with some of them. Bijan Robinson, Jordan Banks, and Kourt Williams are legitimately interested and I think we could get two of them. Ringo was interested before he fell in love with Texas and that's fine. There's nothing wrong with UW if a kid likes Texas more than us. They're TEXAS for fuck sake. Not a bad school or program to be interested in. I still think Jimmy Lake will find a way to get us back in that one. All of this is much ado about nothing. The bottom line is the four main demographics for football talent out West are mixed-black, poly, white, and full-black. Three out of those four demographics love the built for life shit UW is selling. That means we have a pretty diverse recruiting pool to select from. Some schools like Nebraska and Wisconsin are stuck having to recruit mostly white kids. Some schools are stuck having to recruit mostly full-black kids. But UW's recruiting is way more flexible to the point the coaches don't have to worry about it. They can just recruit OKG's off all races and whoever wants in can be a Dawg. This is not a problem and the "perception" is not a problem. If some of the few full-black kids out West feel like they don't fit UW's culture that's fine, we'll replace them with the mixed-black kids who outnumber them anyways and a few African kids. That's the truth of the matter. We don't need to get a lot of them to win a national championship. In any given class, in the entire Western region of the U.S., there might only be 10 full-black football recruits who are UW caliber players. That's it. The demographics have changed that much the past 20 years. Some of them aren't OKG's and some of them just aren't interested. I expect us to get 2-3 of them per cycle. The rest will be mixed-black, poly, white, and maybe one or two Africans if we're lucky. Get used to it.FremontTroll said:

I get what you're saying and claiming. Labeling OKG as racist, though, implies that Petersen deliberately puts up standards that he believes/thinks/knows that poor black kids can't meet. I appreciate you trying to help out my traction, but I'm doing fine thanks. Only white people don't understand this issue.
Smalls, Rodgers, Scott, Phillips, Flowe, Ricks, DJ Johnson, Treshaun, Jeremiah Martin, etc are saying they have a problem with our recruiting or program.
Maybe we should hear that and adapt.
If UW signs 6 or fewer black kids in 2020 like they did in 2019 will that be a problem? -
Nobody cares. You're like that one guy that nobody cares about who just awkwardly keeps hanging around and nobody says anything because they don't want to hurt his feelings. But I'm here to tell you, nobody cares. You're not cool. You're not even a UW fan. You provide nothing to this board. Nobody really cares or reads what you post.Pitchfork51 said:

If Pete continues winning 10+ games a year with his current system do you see anything changing? He would say his system works and recruiting is working in that scenario.
At that point you have a decision to make. Be content with those results or fire him. He's not getting fired in that scenario (IMO). -

Now that is crazy talk. Have you read the recruiting forum the last four years? How did UW even get a recruit based on that forum? Under the radar recruiting was done with it in like six weeks!! LOLCallMeBigErn said:
DDY has been pushing this "Pete hates black people" and institutional bias narrative since I've been reading this site, and likely before. And we wonder how this all started? He and his cult have started a giant game of Telephone, taken to social media about it, and it's snowballing. Recruits see this shit and seeds of doubt are planted. This is self-sabotage. Ironically, this narrative was started by our own fanbase, right fucking here. Isn't that special? Somebody cut the cord.Pitchfork51 said:What was the impetus to this ridiculous conversation

Can you please expound on the things Rodgers, Scott, Phillips, Flowe, Ricks, DJ Johnson, Treshaun, and Jeremiah Martin have said about our program? I need those juicy deets.FremontTroll said:
The people we WANT to become associated with the program but aren't converting are the bellwether here not the people that have been all in for years.PostGameOrangeSlices said:
How about you message board heroes let the actually people associated with the program speak on perceived racism. Maybe our NFL players who promote the program on twitter, or Buffy Miller?jecornel said:Derek might consider rename

Great non-answer, as always. I give you credit for sticking to your guns no matter how irrational you might sound. Yes, I get it. You're black and only you can understand racism because of that fact. I should trust you when you call something racist no matter how irrational that claim may be.Dennis_DeYoung said:

I get what you're saying and claiming. Labeling OKG as racist, though, implies that Petersen deliberately puts up standards that he believes/thinks/knows that poor black kids can't meet. I don't think that's what you actually believe. If you want to say Pete's OKG standards are biased against people from certain backgrounds I think you'd get more traction there, and I would probably agree with you on some level. Outright and intentional racism though?Dennis_DeYoung said:Black people: “yeah I definitely see how OKG stuff could be construed as racist”
White people: “I don’t”
I appreciate you trying to help out my traction, but I'm doing fine thanks. Only white people don't understand this issue.
Smalls, Rodgers, Scott, Phillips, Flowe, Ricks, DJ Johnson, Treshaun, Jeremiah Martin, etc are saying they have a problem with our recruiting or program.
Maybe we should hear that and adapt.
If UW signs 6 or fewer black kids in 2020 like they did in 2019 will that be a problem?
If Pete continues winning 10+ games a year with his current system do you see anything changing? He would say his system works and recruiting is working in that scenario.
At that point you have a decision to make. Be content with those results or fire him. He's not getting fired in that scenario (IMO).
Guys, Browning is gone, Lubick is gone, Eason/Huard are in, and arguably our best two best classes in history haven't even seen the field yet. Let it play out! Jesus Christo!FremontTroll said:

Ok. I would judge that on wins and losses. Fair?FremontTroll said:

I think you gotta more specifically define "problem."FremontTroll said:
When does the pattern of struggling to recruit black kids become a problem for you?CallMeBigErn said:
They commit to other programs and you construe that as them saying they have a problem with UW's recruiting or program? You have got to be shitting me with that response. Get over yourself.FremontTroll said:
