I keep hearing about this 60 yard pass, just for clarification is that 60 yards in the air or like a 30 yard pass with YAC?

Supreme physical ability like Jeff George or Kelly Stouffer?

Eason should be getting the first team reps. That’s obvious. But plenty of guys with great physical ability had dogsshit for brains. Ask Jay Cutler.
Those dogshit for brains certainty didn’t shit their pants against Cal, now, did they?

If Sirmon has a big gun and can't fucking run the offense, why the fuck would he be the backup? So he can throw it harder to the other team? I agree that we should hope for him to take the backup job, but if he ain't ready, he ain't ready. He has to prove he can run the offense and not just be a physical specimen with a two-cent brain. Let's all take a 4-month long bong toke and see where we're at in Fall. Jesus Fucking Christopher.
Fuck man, Em is soaring up the charts. Sirmon was Lindquist last

Haener's would have been in the air. Eason, being a couch slob the last 2 years needs that cutoff man...

You're basing this on what? That Haener is 6' tall and Sirmon is 6'5?

Remember when you guys thought babushka was the problem

His stench still lingers in the QB room.

Two guys that were first round picks are your examples?? Wouldn't it be nice if Skinny had a college career like Jeff George? Hmmm...

The basic point (which I think you get) is that physical ability is not the total package, which your comment earlier seemed to suggest.

Still, Eason is the guy. No question.

I get your point. What I'm saying is that Skinny's physical ability is likely good enough to make him a great college QB even if he's a fucking idiot. Jamarcus Russell was a great college QB. In the NFL, it's all PhD level football, so the physical/mental ratio needed tilts more to the mental side.

If you think of this in its context, this is basically why Pete likes the mental shit... because with Boise, he didn't have his pick of physically gifted players, so he made the game slant more toward mental stuff, because his ability to be physically better than everyone was not there.

In some ways, it was a more similar situation to the NFL... and Kellen Moore was the Drew Brees of college football. He just couldn't be the Drew Brees of pro football because he doesn't have the physical ability required.

Just to remind everyone what Jamarcus was like in college... he wasn't a mastermind, but his ability was superlative.

Now I think we are in the same place. One of my frustrations with Pedersen’s offense is that occasionally it gets too complex, like under babushka. It ends up favoring the smart film rat over the obvious physical specimen who could flourish in a slightly simpler system.

We still cannot have a complete moron that throws the ball a mile. But Eason does not fit that category. Haener should transfer
