How do you define a successful season for Eason?

I only look at P5 games for those totals ... and given the youth, there will be growing pains on D particularly up front.WeakarmCobra said:
you must have not looked at the schedule defense will still average under 20 given up, bunch a cupcakes in my opinionTequilla said:He threw 8 INTs in the SEC as a true freshman ... so something in the 8-10 range or less at UW is definitely reasonable.
The reality is that the defense will take a step back next year incorporating a lot of youth and it wouldn't shock me if the D gave up in the neighborhood of 20-24 points per game next year (particularly in the 1st half of the season). We gave up on average 18 a game on D last year in P5 games and scored 24 in those games.
I think the goal for Eason would be to get the offense up into the 31-34 point per game range ... that will take a lot of pressure off of the defense early in the year.
Lake/Kwat are going to have a lot of work ahead of them and I'm not entirely sure that we'll be able to sit back in our bend but don't break defense at all times. -
Win a NY6, its that simple

Agree. I am thinking of Eason's success in terms of scoring and expect at least a 10 ppg increase over last year's shit show. And zero games without offensive TD's.Tequilla said:He threw 8 INTs in the SEC as a true freshman ... so something in the 8-10 range or less at UW is definitely reasonable.

He’s successful if by October we’re not even questioning if he’s gonna be here in 2020, the answer will be so obvious.

Jake is the winningest QB in the history of UW football!!!Meek said:I think throwing darts and frozen ropes in the red zone will have a more positive impact on our wins and loss total than scrambling backwards to get out of field goal range will.

He needs to come out motivated and destroy everyone in this conference so he can beat Georgia in the NCG and pop off.

I’m gonna hate this board once the realization hits that Skinny is turnover machine.

Dude - it is a universal truth that message boards are best after a loss.salemcoog said:I’m gonna hate this board once the realization hits that Skinny is turnover machine.
It's going to be AWESOME.

Who the fuck are you ??BroadcastingDawg said:I want 30+ TD's... less than 10 picks and chunks in the passing game down the damn field. That's HIS goal. The team's goal should be NY6 at a minimum. Our schedule is easy as shit next year.
Answer the question!!

Imagine what a QB who delivers the ball on time could do.Dennis_DeYoung said:

I have changed my mind. Successful season will be anyone where ESPN doesn't credit all of our success to the fact Eason played in the SEC as a freshman.
-
Successful season for season in my opinion is winning the games Browning couldn’t win. Making the passes Browning couldn’t make. Just ball out and shred defenses.

win a NY6 bowl. elevate the offense and the program.

I’m looking forward to all the posts doogimg about what an amazing roster of WRs we have.
Eason is going to make us look at a hell of a lot of things differently. -

I'm as excited for the season as I have been in years and years. I didn't see 2016 coming until it was here. Then the last two years we knew we had Browning
This reminds me of 1990 / 1991 for anticipation. Or even 2000. I thought we would win it that year -
So many unknowns, really excited for this year too. UW will have a ton of talent all over. I wasn’t really old enough to remember but I am guessing this might be what 1990 was like?
Story time @RaceBannon, or any of you other old fucks. Did you know what was happening in 1990 since recruiting wasn’t followed so closely? Were there rumblings that the talent was crazy coming through? -
Going into 90 we knew we had a good offensive line and we knew Greg Lewis was one of the better backs in the pac10. Andre Riley had just graduated and I know I wasn’t prepared for the receivers, McKay and Bailey to be as good as they turned out in 90. Emterman had played as a redshirt freshman replacing senior Dennis Brown who had been injured for a couple games so we kinda knew we had something with him and we also graduated Cary Conklin and were replacing him with a talented but unproven Mark Brunell. The defense was young but returned all the key pieces that destroyed Florida in Anehiem to end the 89 year. In short I was really excited for our eight man front defense and was hoping the offense would mature fast enough to take advantage. Sorry for jumping around the offense and defense but I’m reminiscing on my lunch break at the grocery store. This coming year I’m pretty excited for our offense and am hoping a young talented defense figures it out quickly to take advantage. I’m dooging and I think we will be really fucking good. Just like 90.

We had the local rags and the Best in the West from the Long Beach Daily Shopper or somethingCokeGreaterThanPepsi said:So many unknowns, really excited for this year too. It was well known that in 1986 James felt the heat and revamped his recruiting. By 1989 the kids were kicking the ass of the upper class men
The 89 Freedom Bowl introduced Brunell. The defense had taken off when Donald Jones moved to end and James went to the 46
Everyone followed the Lustyk recruiting but the one star one legged Empterman stole the show
Not sure when Sports Washington showed up but we knew who got recruited. Local guys were very well known
We knew we were loaded -
Local recruiting was big to my dad. I was a kid and he would tell me about the guys we would get and the guys we lost. Losing Lake Dawson and Demetrius Dubois to ND was a BIG DEAL in my home. Keeping Billy Joe, Lustyk and Damon Huard we’re BIG DEALS in my house. These were national level gets. My dad and I went to Everett Memorial Stadium and watched Damon Huard in an all star game. It was very cool for me at the time. For The Cali guys we had to rely on the newspaper and the info was usually old when we heard, sans Kauffman, that was yuge.
