Don’t rush to judgement, he stayed on for the national title game for free pub. Future is bright. Gotta love the 35-3 don’t panic segment.

Also learning to take Covid seriously during the commercial break. And go get some Taco Bell and buy a hummer.

All these awesome recruits with a “championship” defensive coach who can’t tackle anyone. LOL

He may turn out to be an amazing coach, but right now, this Oregon team looks nothing like good Oregon teams have looked in the post Rich Brooks era. If nothing else, the ducks should be much better on D than they are showing. And offensively, there is nothing they are doing that looks even a bit creative.

They might have a good kicker though!
You mean like last year’s team?

I’m old enough to remember Chip Kelly’s first 3 games at Oregon.

    Neither matter.

I’ll defer to you as a much wiser Oregon follower since I can’t stand anything about the ducks, but even in those instances you noted, I find it hard to believe Oregon looked as lost, unprepared, flat and uninspired as this team does. I’m sure they’ll look better in the next few weeks, but my god they have to.

If not, this team is Colorado.

It shouldn't be 42-3 with Georgia sending off most of their defense to the NFL last year.

They could still look great once Mountain PAC games start up, and their OL will be pretty dominant.

But this is a staff of frat bros until it isn't.

A lot of people on both the Oregon and UW side getting an education in how big the talent gulf has expanded since either team was last relevant.

On a related note, probably why every coaching search at real programs now starts with “can they recruit top 10 classes?”.

Of course it is. But I’m going to give them more than one game on the road to The defending champs who are coming off a historic defensive season.

    All of this.

Georgia def gave up 10 points a game playing in the SEC.

We’ll get back to the minor league season next week.

A top 10 class to who? Fat slobs who run websites and go to 7 on 7 tournaments?

I thought Oregon has recruited at a top 12-13 level for around 4 cycles now. Clearly there is something missing here that is critical. Culture, coaching. Players can't be pussies.

It's one game but it's looking like Phil thought he could hire some SEC bros and just roll the ball out..

Don’t look at the score. Build the culture, settle in.

From the rich get richer to we have no talent in one week

This was clearly a case of a new staff and players not being able to execute a game plan.

They both got their asses handed to them.

By WSU we will know if Lanning and his staff can coach worth a shit and the players have bought in. There’s plenty of talent on this team.
