Welcome to the Hardcore Husky Forums. Folks who are well-known in Cyberland and not that dumb.
How is it that the women's softball team makes the sweet 16 pretty much every year, yet...
the men's baseball team can go 20 years between super regionals and the basketball team should never expect to get past a sweet 16 since we are at such a disadvantage and we can't expect to compete with schools in big cities with big athletic budgets. For all those limp-wristed doogs, look in the fucking mirror. We have a big athletic budget and are located in one of the more desirable cities in all of the NCAA. You know why the women's softball team, volleyball team, men's golf, etc are able to be good all the damn time? It's not dumb luck and it's not because those are not as competitive sports. It's because we have good fucking coaches. It's really a simple formula and not that hard to figure out. If you don't have it, it's pretty fucking easy and doesn't take 12 years or even 4 in Ty and Seven's case. But when you do, it's extremely easy to figure out. Spend 10 minutes listening to Matt Thurmond or Jim McLaughlin (or that McGuff guy) and you can tell they're good fucking coaches. I think the same can be said for Peeterman.
So for all those doogman dipshits who think woe-is-me and we'll never get past the sweet 16, just be happy if we get there one out 7 years, it's a pretty simple formula. If it takes you 12 years with a coach to have to make excuses for him, he's PROBABLY not the guy. Demand some sort of results and hire a good fucking coach. Fuck. FYFMFE.
tl;dr: Stop twisting and making excuses. Hire a good fucking coach and you'll win. Thanks.

But yes, coaching matters. Good players want to play for good coaches. It's not fucking rocket science.
