Too much time in Congress living outside of DC. No contact with reality leads one to ignore reality. Like JHB, voting to impeach Trump was the high character move in spite of the fact there was no office for him to be removed from. I think they were shocked at the public reaction from the base. Go figure. Sort of like the dems are shocked at the DOJ and FBI abuse of power on the Mar-a-Lago RAID.
