Current Dutch Nat Gas prices (TTF…main trading hub in Europe) is energy equivalent to $286/BBL oil (normally it’s discounted to oil)…seems sustainable. Just need a few more windmills and solar panels in Northern Europe to fix the problem.
TTF (European gas) is now over $40/mmbtu. They are truly screwed, esp if Russia doesn’t come back up after their maintenance. There is a reason the govts inEurope are talking about rationing gas usage.
Natural gas here was heading over $10/mmbtu…now it’s under $6. The winter balances were looking ugly, and with Freeport LNG now down the balances are getting almost normal.
Crazy how one plant can swing it that much…
Dated info…now it’s $57/mmbtu. Maybe need another windmill or two.
