If Michael Sam goes undrafted...

will he sue the NFL for discrimination? After all, he was on the cover of Sports Illustrated. You have to be a great athlete for something like that to happen.

You're right, he was only a unanimous all-American, and co-SEC player of the year. Clearly a terrible player.

He's got a ton of endorsements already lined up. It's an oppressive world we live in.

Hard to imagine someone drafting him. Much easier to be one of the teams who didn't pick the gay kid than the team that had to cut the gay kid. Basically why you're better off hiring a crappy white coach than a crappy black coach - much easier to cut ties with the sucky white guy.

The media's overzealous activism may well cost this kid a shot.

That is a big part of why Tebow doesn't have a job. Not saying Tebow is good but he's better than the QB's in the NFL who are on rosters. Just nobody wants to go through the headache of having him when he's just a back up and the backlash for cutting him.
Totally agree. Tim Tebow is good enough to be an NFL QB. But ESPN would rather make money than provide legitimate sports content, and now he's a victim of his own hype.

Who's saying he's a terrible player? He was projected as a late round pick before he came out. He's a guy who, based on talent, would have a decent shot at making an NFL roster. But if you draft him you are committing a spot to him, because cutting him will make you Donald Sterling. If he was an instant NFL starter you take him and don't worry about it. But he's not.

I don't know exactly how all the combine shit works but if you look up Sams numbers and Jarvis Jones they're pretty similar. Jones went in the first round.

This. No team wants a shitload of reporter coming to training camp because of the back up DE. Someone will probably bring him in though. He would be best off going to a team like Buffalo, Jacksonville, Tampa Bay, or San Diego (like Te'o) where the attention will be over quickly because nobody really cares about those teams.

Good call on the teams that would work best for him. Arizona?

I'm hearing Sam wasn't ready to rumble though.

For being a Top you would think Sam would have better hips.
