Top Gun review

I know wrong board but Yella's shop is kind of dead and nonody discussed for the Throbber the obvious point of how hot is Penny (Jennifer Connolly) 36 years later?

Took the 15 year old last night and we both loved it. He wants to now see the original. I thought this review hit the mark. Any thoughts on why Meg Ryan didn't make the cut?

I’ve never watched the original but I hear this one is a must see. Don’t twist. I’ve never watched Star Wars either.

    And JC is still hot.

She's hot - but that pic is older.

She's borderline anorexic in Snowpiercer. Hope they plumped her up a bit for TGM

I really enjoyed it. It's feel good escapism for Americans. I preferred it over the original, largely because they way overplayed Goose's death and Maverick's trauma. Now, if it was revealed that Maverick was gay or considering going full on Bruce Jenner along with a few American war crimes and the slaughter of some innocent natives, then it would have become Oscar worthy. And that would have been worth losing the $170 million budget along with the millions in promo cost.

    JC in the Rocketeer, 1991.

Same in Alita: Battle Angel. Shame there’s not going to be a sequel.

I've never watched or have been interested in anything Harry Potter. I've always considered fans of that genre odd but to each their own. It's probably more of a generational thing although I was never into the dungeons and dragons stuff either.

I’ve only seen a three “comic book” movies. Superman with Christopher Reeves when I was a it 14. The first Batman because Jack Nicholson. The Joker because it looked really dark and fucked up. It was.

Comic book movies in general are for retards.

I’ve been dragged to every star wars movie. I hated every single one. Even #1, that became #4 which was when I was 11. I was more of a Jaws guy.

I want to say it came out right around when Jaws did. One of them was the first rated R movie I saw. I think there were tits.
