Parts 2-3 were letdown enough. 4th time might be bad enough to sour me on part one, which would just be a shame.

Neo mailing it in for that new game they were making at the start of the movie perfectly sums up the series. They didn't need to make reloaded or any of the other ones.

The Animatrix is far superior to any of the live action films.

I watched it on a flight when I had few options. I had high hopes that Reeves wouldn’t do a shitty sequel but those hopes were dashed and this movie adds evidence to my theory that the longer the time between original and sequel equals a much greater possibility the sequel will suck.

That said, it sounds like Top Gun Maverick is blowing holes in my theory.

I thought the first one was incredible and left off at a point without any need of a sequel but then someone decided the world needed more and both sucked. I hoped the last one returned to the original and it did, just not in a good way.

ATBS, I watched the original on a flight earlier this year and it’s not held up well.
