The short answer is, "Like we say, NO"...a very few select HS kids can hit that velocity, and those are the high draft kids, that have the combo of strength, twitch and timing.
I waited to see Lincecum his senior year until he faced a prospect/hitter. There was one on his schedule, and the day I saw him, he was 94-96 with a hammer curveball that he didn't have to throw, except to the one guy...he gave up one hit, a smoked double off the wall, to the guy, who ended up playing in the big leagues. Everyone else, on a very good HS team with several future college players, had no shot. Timmy was 4-5 years away from MLB then...he had MLB stuff, but it wasn't refined yet, meaning he got guys out middle-middle, which you cannot do in the big leagues. I don't think Bauer threw one pitch middle-middle in that video...stuff gets you there, located stuff keeps you there.
On a (rather amusing) side note, this video was done at a high school in AZ, and the coach is a long-time friend of mine, a former NW guy...I don't wish to be doxxed, nor doxx anyone else, but he was Tripper Johnson's HS baseball coach...CSB...All roads lead to HCH...
I tried hitting 90mph balls at the batting cages when I was like 14. I basically had to start swinging the bat well before the pitch even came out, just to make contact.
