I hate the rationale that "we need to do something". Anytime I hear that, I know I'm dealing with a weak mind and/or a liar. When you do something, it can make it better, make it worse or have no effect. We did something about poverty with an actual War on Poverty. Wasted trillions and the problems are worse. We spent trillions on "public education" and it made the problem worse. We spent hundreds of billions on a war on drugs and crime and today the problem is worse. We spent trillions on Afghanistan and Iraq and ? I'm seeing a pattern, but that's just me, apparently.

We protect him and players, presidents, celebrities politicians and VIPs with guns but put up signs at schools which read, "No Gun Zone" where the most vulnerable are left for the mentally ill and evil to exploit. Steve Kerr literally marched to make children vulnerable. But at least he's not virtue signaling with his mask wearing; his chin certainly won't get covid.

But it does show how uneducated our supposed intellectual elites are. In researching the origins of the Armalite company, reading every book and contemporaneous information I could get my hands on, never once do I recall running across any mention of the AR’s inventor Gene Stoner being influenced by “Nazi” firearms, much less basing his famous rifle on a German assault rifle. Armalite, in fact, was the first company to successfully hybridize American technological advances of World War II airplane design, plastics, and alloys, with small arms. So, I’d love to find out which Wikipedia page Fisher pulled this information from.
