Yeah, what happened to Cobb once he died is a travesty. There are black families here in GA who claim that Cobb set them up with land and homes, took care of black friends and gave them jobs, etc. One such family was given an opportunity to live for free in a home built by Cobb just for them so that they could be care takers of several 1000 acres he used as a hunt club. I watched an interview with an older gentleman who lived there as a child and he claimed all the racist shit about Cobb was totally false. Also claimed that all the alcohol stories were false.

The original writer of Cobb that was released back in the 60's was a scoundrel of the worst kind. They have found that he forged documents like letters and diaries and just made nasty shit up about Cobb.

Very sad that people would do that to him.
