    Meh

The books are so much better and I'm not a book snob. The movies tend to suck

The Stand as a TV mini series was better than these but I'll go with Christopher Walken

Zihuatanejo. It’s a little place in Mexico on the Pacific Ocean. Do you know what the Mexicans say about the Pacific? They say it has no memory. That’s where I want to live the rest of my life — a warm place with no memory.

Single view you can't beat The Shining, but for the long haul Shawshank is just the best. I've probably watched it 20 tims and it's still great every tim.

Shawshank is damn near perfect film. Top 5 of all time, arguably top 2.

The Shining *feels* more quintessential King but Shawshank is the superior film (and story).

Quite honestly I didn't see Shawshank. Had no idea that was Stephen King

I can't vote against The Shining.

Like others, I find it impossible not to watch Shawshank when I see it on, which is pretty damn frequent.

    Stand By Me
It's the one I've watched more recently.

Also a pretty solid cast. Also filmed somewhat close to @YellowSnow and his gas pumping duck frens. Also Misery not being on the list is a statement of the failure of Park City Skool system.

I'd like to send a shout out to the Saturday TBS / TNT / USA regular broadcast of Maximum Overdrive (which definitely should NOT be on the list). I feel like its the one I've watched the most on lazy Saturdays. Almost a comedy at this point.

Misery was an entry error. I thought I had it in there.

Speaking of Park City, Jimmy Caan has a second home there. I've met his personal assistant a few times. CSB.

I'll argue that this is one of the best movies of all time.

I think Shawshank is probably a better overall film than The Shining, but Jack's performance in the film is so ridiculously good (his best work IMHO) that I have to give it my vote.

White man's burden @Swaye my man.

China Town and One Flew Over the Cuckoos Nest are both great. The Shining probably captures Jack’s strange energy the best. Five Easy Pieces is another good performance. Jack is one of the very best actors of all time. I’ve seen most of his movies.
Five Easy Pieces has Sally Struthers tits

Leads right into this bit of animated erotica...

I don’t know that I’ve ever seen Shawshank from start to finish but I know enough of it to say it’s the best King book turned into a movie.

Shining scared the cheese sauce outta 9 year old me and I think I’ve watched it once since then but as stated, it’s a great flick.

Misery is 3rd only because the Shining is that good and I’m partial to Stand By Me so it got my vote.

Maximum Overdrive was so stupid it was funny.

I'm sorry, but this is easily the cinematic experience at its peak!

I remember the Five Easy Pieces ends without a happy ending and Jack’s character is still kind of a dirtbag trying to find his way.

Jack is good in Easy Rider but that’s an overrated, shitty movie. I was pumped to watch it because it’s considered a classic, but it mostly sucks.
