What do we get out of this again (if somehow they bribe Turkey into accepting this)? We are on the hook for going to war if something happens to these 2 countries…seems like a question someone should ask?

Turkey at least has geographical importance. The issue with NATO is that why do we need countries like Portugal in there? They offer no useful utility, no one is going to attack them and then get too much power on this kind of shit.
