You're reading something into that cartoon that I'm not seeing. I agree with you about Obama. Yes we all know now that he was lying, and frankly I knew then that he was lying, but you have to remember Obama ran as in 2008 as someone who opposed gay marriage. Was Musk a fool for believing Obama was a moderate? Sure. But I read that cartoon as Musk saying he believes that his politics haven't changed that much since 2008, while the Rats have charged hard to the left.RoadTrip said:SFGbob said:
What's your opposition to that? I gather it made your snatch hurt and now you're ranting but try to articulate in detail what it is about that cartoon that bothers you so much.RoadTrip said:I won't support anything else he has to say and it makes me question his true intentions.
He is on the record for being a strong supporter of Obama. Many of you screaming foul now supported him as well. I'm guilty of supporting Bush but at least he was lying about being conservative. If you couldn't see Obama for the Marxist lying sack of shit he was then, how intelligent are you?
What's my opposition to someone who loved Obama now claiming the left is the party that moved? Why are you writing in riddles like the Dazzler? Elon Musk is getting a ton of praise for saving free speech. His support for Obama couldn't have done more damage to it. I'd respect him a lot more if he simply came out and said I was wrong and fooled by Obama. I have no problem saying that about my position on George Bush.SFGbob said:

As far as "praising" Musk now, I'll admit to being happy he bought Twitter, but I've already said it's a pretty sad state of affairs when we need a multi-billionaire to buy a social media company in order to protect free speech in America. It's not a healthy sign for our democracy. And yes, alot of the things that are now threatening our democracy were ushered in by Obama. -
I don't think you can be a conservative in America today and not hear and be confronted with the political views and opinions of people you disagree with.Kaepsknee said:It must be a sad existence to only respect, talk and/or listen to only those whose political values lock step with their own.

Pretty much a sad experience for leftards. None of the conservative blog sites I visit are afraid to discuss any issue. I don't have any conservative friends who don't want to follow the facts. None of them are afraid of having an honest conversation. The closest I can come to anything remotely resembling yanking the Babylon Bee off Twitter and banning the New York Post are the ostensible conservatives that swallowed the Russian collusion story and went and still are NeverTrumpers. When you go full on dazzler mode at the National Review, support a dementia patient that is bought and paid for by the chicoms and basically destroy the magazine/website you aren't a conservative.

I liked the line that Elon didn't just buy the company, he bought the evidence. His due diligence may be real and spectacular. Good question about how many NY Times "followers" are bots.

This is exactly what TKS told us a few weeks ago. If a person on the left didn’t “progress” with the left and embrace every dumb thought they push then that person is a shitty conservative now. Probably a fascist. Like Bill Maher.

Elon gonna shit can a lot of Twitter executives. Reportedly crying $17M a year lawyer lady is at the top of the list.

Thanks. I ranted and didn't explain my thoughts well. You just did for me. That said, a couple people have pointed out here in this thread that politicians running as conservatives have not fared well in this country? Why is that? What's the aversion to conservatism and what's wrong about defending life especially the life of the unborn and defending a belief in God? I'd make for a terrible politician but I'd also be proud of the fact as well I guess. I unintentionally offended somewhat of a friend yesterday by asking him what he thought of men competing as women. I thought about my mistake later and realized I was not smart with my word choices when, instead of staying factual, I leaned into my prejudice and called these individuals trannies. I have a stong opinion on the subject but I should be able to have a rational discussion without denigrating those I believe are mentally disabled. I believe trans-genderism and homosexuality are more personal choice than biological. Until science proves otherwise, I should be able to have that opinion based on what I have witnessed.SFGbob said:
