one of the endless logistical nightmares of the Wild West NIL is players playing 4D chess (Just like Jim Lake did) with their own program. Going and getting offers in the portal, threatening to portal, and then getting more out of their current school. It must be terrible to work at all in college football right now.

Yep. This is the ultimate "This is fine" moment for NIL. Essentially a kid holding the school hostage for more money.
So let's just pretend UW has a great year this year. DeBoner's scheme works, players step up, and we end up with 5 or 6 underclassmen set to make a huge impact when they return.
Oregon, USC, and possibly others will be offering those kids a shit load of money to transfer and there's no way we match it

Covington seems like a possibility to transfer. I also wonder if one or both of Newton and Davis transfer.
Could be why they were playing Davon Banks so much. Covington would suck because he seems like a guy who could start at one of the corner spots for a couple years. I know Oregon has real issues in their secondary. Maybe they went shopping
Eklund says about 10 players will leave including "a few surprises".
I take that to mean that a few of our starters got paid but we'll see
USC needs an O-Line🤷♂️
If he's close with his projection of 10 leaving, plus the 8/9 that left b4 spring his original story of upwards of 20 kids leaving had JL stayed ends, appears that many will have ended up leaving anyway,
My Twitter guy is saying smoke of Huard actually transferring but then Huard posted "Stay The Course" on Instagram with pictures of him at practice. So this is what my life has become...
also, if anyone in the northwest part of the state has a driveway where I can park my camper with good WiFi lemme know.

You just gave me an idea. Maybe we can have @LebamDawg phone in from his Steinbeckesque travels for summer segments on the pod.
